DESCRIPTION
The Lake Placid Club Lodges is a community of townhouses located adjacent to the Lake Placid Club Resort recreation complex, directly off of Mirror Lake Drive in the Village of Lake Placid.  They are truly one of Lake Placid's best vacation values given their spacious size, their lovely Adirondack decor, the amenities they offer (see below) and their location in the heart of the Olympic Village within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, the beach, golf, tennis, the Olympic Center, and many other attractions. We own several timeshare weeks at the Lake Placid Club Lodges which we periodically make available for rent.  All units at the Lake Placid Club Lodges are identical inside and out, including decorations, furniture and amenities. The specific (and only) dates we have available for rent are specified on our availability calendar (see below). Please check the calendar before you contact us.  

UNITS:

Each lodge unit is extremely spacious, modern, nicely decorated with Adirondack decor, and sleeps up to eight people in two bedrooms (one with queen bed, one with two twin beds) and on two sleeper sofas (one in a large, semi-private loft area and one in the living room).  There is a television in the great room and the main bedroom.  Each unit also has two full bathrooms, one of which features an oversize whirlpool tub and its own sauna.  The kitchen is large, bright and fully equipped.  The spacious open great room area features comfortable living room seating, large windows, and a massive stone fireplace. Each unit has a lower and upper deck with outdoor furniture.  A computer with internet/email access is available in the Lodge's main reception building.  Depending on the week you book, you unit will have a spectacular mountain/golf course view, a wonderful view of Mirror Lake, will be located directly across from the golf club house, or will be on a private cul de sac.  Please contact us for details about the location of any particular unit/week we have available.  Not all units have scenic views.

LOCATION:

The Lake Placid Club Lodges are centrally located on exclusive Mirror Lake Drive in the heart of Lake Placid Village, making it an easy (and charming!) walk to the shops, restaurants, Olympic museum and ice skating venues that line charming Main Street in the Olympic Village. Families and sports enthusiasts will find  a wonderful beach on Mirror Lake, golf and tennis all within easy walking distance in the summer and cross-country skiing, ice skating and tobbogan rides within easy walking distance in the winter.  And everyone will love the quaint walk around Mirror Lake in any season.   The Lodges close proximity to Main Street makes these units perfect for your Lake Placid vacation. Other Olympic venues, such as the bobsled and luge complex, the scenic drive up Whiteface Mountain, and the Olympic ski jumping complex are minutes away by car. 

RECREATION:

The Lake Placid Club Lodges are located adjacent to the the Lake Placid Club Resort recreation complex, and are close to all Village recreation facilities.  Tennis, swimming, walking, skiing, ice skating, toboggan, golf, hiking -- you name it and it is within walking distance from your unit!

The Lodges are located directly adjacent (very easy walking distance) to the exclusive Lake Placid Club Resort Golf Course, which offers 45 holes of spectacular golf in the heart of the Adirondacks.  The Links course is the only fully irrigated course in Lake Placid. It was designed in 1909 by the renowned Scottish architect Seymour Dunn.  The Mountain course was laid out in 1910 by Alexander H. Findlay who immigrated to the U.S. from Scotland in the early 1880's and became one of the pioneers of golf in America. In 1931 the course was remodeled by Alister MacKenzie, designer of Augusta National  - home of The Masters.  With smaller greens and more tree-lined fairways, this course begs for the straight shot. The engaging design takes full advantage of the scenic vistas and will appeal to players of all levels. It is quite simply the essence of "mountain golf".  Discounts for greens fees for the Mountain Course are available to all guests of the Lake Placid Club Lodges. 

Tennis anyone?  Lodge guests can also use the private Lake Placid Club Resort tennis courts free of charge, and the public Village courts are right across the road.

Guests have access to a private beach on Mirror Lake.

Sunbathers and swimmers will love the private Lake Placid Club Resort beach on Mirror Lake,  located a short distance down Mirror Lake Drive, where you will also find the outstanding Boat House restaurant.  Even closer is the Village public beach on Mirror Lake, which is directly across the road from the Lodges, and provides a fun swimming venue for all ages.  Canoe and kayak rentals are available on Mirror Lake.  Motor boat rentals and scenic boat tours are available on Lake Placid.  The Lake Placid marina and public boat launch are minutes from the Lodges.

Walkers will be delighted by the scenic 2.7 mile loop around Mirror Lake Drive -- a perfect way to start the morning or wind down the evening.  And awesome hiking trails in the nearby Adirondack High Peaks are too numerous to mention individually! 

In the winter, cross country skiers can ski directly to the Lake Placid Club Resort's cross country ski center located on the golf course grounds.  Alpine skiing at Whiteface is a 15 minute drive away, or you can take a bus to Whiteface from the Village.  The toboggan run on Mirror Lake as well as ice skating on the Olympic Speedskating Oval are both within very easy walking distance of the Lodges.

RENTAL RATES

IRON MAN 2009 NOTICE:  The week has been rented.  We have nothing else available for Iron Man 2009.  Sorry.   

July and August:  $1,500 per week (except Iron Man week).  No nightly rentals in July and August.  

March, September and October:  $1,000 per week or $250 per night with a three-night minimum.

Christmas/New Year's Week:  $1,700 per week or $250 per night for five nights,  $275 per night for four nights, or $300 per night for three nights.   

CHECK IN IS  4:00 P.M. OR LATER, AND  CHECK OUT IS BY 10:00 A.M. IF YOU ARE CHECKING IN AFTER 8:00 P.M., YOUR KEYS AND CHECK IN INFORMATION WILL BE LEFT IN A BASKET AT THE REGISTRATION BUILDING. 

Guests must also pay a $20 energy surcharge (per stay, not per night).  There is also a fee for telephone calls.  A credit card will be required upon check in, like in a hotel.  Linens are included.  The units do not have washer and dryers; however, there is a coin operated laundry available on site.
