secluded, WATER ACCESS ONLY log cabin awaits for your perfect
Adirondack vacation. A cozy log cabin just a few
feet from the quiet west shore of Lake Placid. One of
Lake Placid's only sandy beaches is available for your
pleasure and is perfect for children because of its
visibility from the cabin, sandy bottom, and slowly
sloping depth from the shoreline. The beach and
lawn area in
front of the cabin offers a fire pit for the evening
gatherings after a busy day of water sports, water
volleyball, swimming, canoeing, and pleasurable sunset
cruises around Lake Placid.
There is nothing like sitting around an open fire
and reminiscing about a perfect day on the lake.
There are many trails for exploring the woods and
surrounding shoreline. Especially for the hearty,
a memorable hike up the backside of Whiteface Mountain
which is accessible with only a short boat ride to the
trailhead.

The three bedroom log cabin has a
queen, full, and two twin beds as well as a couch that
opens to a full bed. For those lazy afternoon naps
there is also a twin bed on the screened porch. A
fully equipped kitchen which includes a microwave, washer/dryer,
and pantry is separated from the
dining area by a bar that making a great gathering
area at mealtimes. The kitchen, dining, and
living areas afford a beautiful
view of the shore, Lake Placid, and Hawk Island which is
directly across the lake with three mountain ranges
behind. The living room includes a woodstove for those chilly evenings
or just for ambiance. There is also a full bath
with tub and shower. The side screened porch just
off the kitchen is a peaceful way to start or end you
day on Lake Placid.
An enjoyable 15 minute boat ride
to Lake Placid Village offers many things to do,
including fine dining or just a stroll along the Main
Street by all the beautiful and interesting shops to
explore. Don't forget
the Arena where there is always skating, hockey, or an
event taking place. All of the other Olympic
amenities, such as the ski jump, bobsled run,
Whiteface Mountain, etc are all very exciting to visit
as well. Then the return to your
lakeshore retreat is always the best part of the day.
