DESCRIPTION
Nestled deep in the woods of the Adirondack Park, you will find the "Hillside", a waterfront cabin located on a small private lake (8 acres). Here you will experience the most serene environment, perfect for all of your restful vacation needs. Spend a day swimming or floating around the lake, or do a little fishing from the rowboat. Roasting hotdogs or marshmallows over the lakeside bonfire pit, is a great way to top off the evening. 

The exterior of the cabin is a beautiful hard redwood cedar. The interior is decorated with knotty pine wood, which is accented by its rustic theme. The cabin sleeps four adults and two children. It has two bedrooms, one with a full size bed, and the other with bunk beds. A pull out futon in the living room will accommodate sleeping arrangements for an extra two people. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need for all your cooking and eating arrangements (refrigerator /freezer, stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc.). A BBQ grill is located right outside your door if you're craving a nice summer cookout. There is a dining area with cherry table and chairs which will seat six. The bathroom has a tub and shower, which has just been remodeled. Linens are available for your convenience. Indulge yourself in a glass of wine or a good book, and kick back and relax in the double ottoman chair in the enclosed porch area. Satellite television is available in case of a rainy day.

Surrounding areas are packed with recreational possibilities. Located only 45 minutes away from the always popular town of "Old Forge". Here you will find a great assortment of outdoor activities, some of which include the "Enchanted Forest" water safari theme park, with over 50 rides and attractions, the "Old Forge Lake Cruises", hiking or scenic chairlift ride to the top of McCauley Mountain, climbing Bald Mountain, the "Adirondack Scenic Railroad" train adventures, fishing, swimming, not to mention all of the great shops, antiques and restaurants. Here you will find everything you need for a day of fun in the sun.

Another alternative would be "Hinckley State Park". We are located only minutes away from Hinckley Lake. These waters offer you a place to do a little boating, sailing, waterskiing or fishing. Some rentals are available through "Trails End". A guarded sandy beach area for swimming is a perfect place for the whole family.

For dining out, we are located only 20 minutes from one of the areas most popular restaurants, the "Buffalo Head", a great place to enjoy some surf and turf. Right next door you will also find "Garramones", a wonderful Italian specialty restaurant. The city of Utica, a 20 minute drive south from here, also offers countless numbers of dining out choices.

So, if you're looking for a great place to vacation, come to the "Hillside", and discover the tranquil beauty of a vacation in the seclusion of the Adirondack Park.

*This lake is privately owned by a homeowner association. Although it is not open for use to the public, it is shared by a handful of others whom also own property on it.
