Little bear's cabin is the perfect romantic getaway for a couple it is nestled in a field of clover, surrounded by gorgeous foliage and an array of wildlife. The cabin is an easy 100-foot flat walk to the river. It is one and three-quarter acres of pristine river frontage on the world renowned West Branch of the Au Sable River. The location is private and quite, Little bear's river frontage is a coveted spot amongst discerning fly fishermen. Many twenty-inch plus brown trout are taken here daily. During your stay with us, we highly recommend a half, or full day guided trip and consultation with world-renowned legend (fly fishing/tying hall of famer) and inventor of the most successful flies on the Ausable river himself, Mr. Fran Betters. Little bear's cabin: Was built in 2004/05. The cabin has all the amenities of modern life but takes you back to an easier, simpler time that will create lifelong memories of summers spent in the Adirondacks. Upstairs features a six-foot picture window with a king size bed overlooking the beautiful Ausable River; let the sounds of the river sing you to sleep every night. Little bear's cabin is only 10 minutes away from the town of Ausable Forks/Supermarket, pharmacy, gas station, liquor store, bowling alley and golf course, 20 minutes from Whiteface Mountain/Santa's workshop/Uncle Fran's Adirondack sport shop and 25 minutes from Lake Placid/Olympic Village Etc. For the golfer there are many world class courses from 10 to 45 min away. All the amenities of the area are available for your use - tennis court, hiking trails, pond, etc. There are many beautiful secluded hiking/mountain biking trails within minutes of Little Bears Cabin and many ponds/lakes for canoeing. On the premises are two fire pits with hoses to ensure a safe outdoor fire. One is located by the house, and the other down by the river for a quiet nighttime fire with roasted marshmallows.

Little Bears Cabin comes completely furnished-full kitchen, pots, pans, plates, glasses, cutlery, blender, toaster, coffee maker/grinder (filters provided), washer dryer and a baby grand piano. We do not provide towels/linens however sheets are available on request.

Little Bears Cabin is the perfect romantic getaway for a couple or a small family.
