DESCRIPTION
Built in 1901 by a Philadelphia family, Kilkenny Lodge was part of a "Great Camp" style compound. Today, it continues to offer an authentic Adirondack camp setting where friends and family can enjoy all the pleasures of upstate New York's High Peaks region.

Recently restored to its original grandeur, Kilkenny Lodge welcomes all comers to The Great Room, 70' x 20', made more impressive with two fireplaces, windows, wood work, and seven wrought-iron chandeliers -- all original. For over a century, guests have enjoyed the view from the large, Adirondack wrap-around porch.

Kilkenny Lodge now also houses a spacious eat-in gourmet kitchen with new granite counter-tops and stainless appliances. You can entertain with ease as your guests gather around the handcrafted, oversized dining room table (seats 14!). Or, for a more casual meal, head for the summery screened-in porch.

Sleeping 16 comfortably, the accommodations are extensive with six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The master suite includes king-sized bed, private bathroom, sitting room with sleeper sofa, and a fireplace. A second bedroom with king-sized bed has an attached bath with sunflower shower and claw foot tub. There are three additional guest rooms and a bunkroom with three twin beds. The first floor study offers a desk, fax machine, and phone line for laptop, along with a sofa bed and half bath. There is also a full bath located off the kitchen area on the first floor.

Very privately situated on 20 acres with a nearby brook, Kilkenny Lodge has wonderful trails on its property. It's conveniently located just two miles from the center of Elizabethtown, NY, with a TOPS grocery store, shops, and two restaurants. Enjoy one of the oldest golf courses in the country as well as the lovely town tennis courts. Trailheads leading to some of the Northeast's finest hiking are within a 30 minutes drive or less.
