| Join us for a true ADK experience on beautiful Rainbow Lake. A quality year round Adirondack home featuring four spacious bedrooms (three queen and one with two twin beds) plus an enclosed porch with a futon sofa. You'll truly enjoy our large modern kitchen including a Jenn Air Range, a double oven, micro-wave, disposal, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer with in-door ice maker and ceramic counters. A modern washer/dryer round out this space.
The living room overlooks Rainbow Lake and affords a spectacular view of the lake, mountains and forest. It's an ever changing vista where eagles, otters, loons and great herons call home. A long dining room table is blanketed with light from an authentic Adirondack chandelier. The windows are nearly floor to ceiling allowing you to be part of the natural beauty. In the warmer months you can enjoy our outside deck that wraps the entire front and side of the house. The smell of fresh pine and woodsy floral air only add to your mountain experience. In the winter the warm glow from our large wood-burning sandstone fireplace will welcome you whether reading your favorite book or warming yourself after a full day of skiing. For those who find climbing stairs a challenge or enjoy a little more privacy, we have a first floor bedroom with a queen size bed and an adjacent full bath. Rounding out the first floor is a large, well windowed enclosed porch with a sofa futon, TV (with cable hook-up), DVD player and glass top game table. The second floor consists of three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom overlooks Rainbow Lake and features a walkout viewing deck. The master bath is very spacious and features a glass enclosed shower, a heated towel rack and a Jacuzzi tub. The tub overlooks the great out of doors with windows that line the entire north side. The remaining two bedrooms feature either a queen size bed or two twin beds. Our home offers the best of the north country, but the convenience of modern living. Saranac Lake is an easy 15 minute drive. The regional hospital and airport are even closer. Lake Placid and the multitude of activities can be reached in less than a half hour. If you drive in the other direction you can reach Paul Smith's College and the Visitors Information Center in less than ten minutes. We are located on a public road that is paved and maintained year around. For water enthusiasts, our home sits on 150' of water frontage with a small dock and we have available a 17' Royalex Mad River Canoe and a kayak. You can canoe over 25 miles from our dock. The lake does not have a public boat ramp so it is very private and one must live on the lake to gain access. We do have lake access for power boats a few 100 yards from our camp.
