DESCRIPTION
This cozy waterfront cottage is nestled on 125 feet of lakefront property on the quieter end of Lake Pleasant. The view is the reason we fell in love with the house. It is spectacular! By the way, it's called Lake Pleasant for a reason. Rent this little slice of heaven and relax, relax, relax! Wake up early to see an incredible sunrise. Or, cap off the day while sipping a cocktail on the new, large deck. Swim off our shore, sun on our grassy beach, go for a quiet canoe ride, snooze in the hammock or roast marshmallows around the fire at night while you star gaze. There is plenty of room to tie your boat or wave runner to our dock. You'll love the convenience of walking out of the house, down the lawn and into your boat. By the way, we're in a cove of sorts which provides calmer waters for water skiing and is known for its great fishing.

Inside, the cottage is decorated in the Adirondack style. What really makes it though, are the huge windows on both levels which provide incredible views of the lake. Upstairs, there is a living room with a large stone fireplace, a dining area, kitchen, two quaint bedrooms (queen size beds) and a full bathroom. The downstairs "suite", as we call it, has a bedroom with twin beds, a full bathroom and a large, newly carpeted, furnished family room. The house comfortably sleeps six adults. It is equipped with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kitchenware, washer/dryer, gas grill, cable TV, VCR/DVD, stereo, movies, books, and games.

The cottage is minutes away from great fun such as hiking, mountain biking, golf, and tennis. A local marina rents watercraft. The village of Speculator (five minutes) offers shopping, restaurants and a public beach. Camp of the Woods is a five minute drive. Some of the other local lakes (all within 30 minutes) offer wonderful hiking trails, grilling/picnic spots, restaurants, and shopping. Rafting, kayaking, four wheeling, horseback riding, museums, and caverns are within close range. We are two hours south of Lake Placid, an hour west of Lake George, and about 90 minutes from Saratoga. Summer is great fun for water sports and the fall is breathtakingly beautiful.

We request a deposit of 25% of the rental fee to confirm the reservation and payment of the balance in full one week prior to the rental. We do not hold/reserve/book any dates until we receive a deposit check. Once we receive your deposit check, we will confirm your reservation by telephone and/or email and send you directions and additional information as needed. The deposit is non-refundable.

The balance and $300 security deposit are due at check-in. Assuming there is not damage to the property, the security deposit will be returned within two weeks.

We are willing to consider other arrival and departure times if needed. To make a reservation, please check our availability calendar which is kept current. If the date you want is available, please email or call and mail us a money order or cashier's check for 25% of the rental payable to "Peggy Honore" along with the following information: your name and mailing address, your email address, the week or days that you would like to reserve.
