| If you are looking for a very comfortable home in the Center of the Village, our home with its pleasant, relaxing surroundings will satisfy many different tastes. The back to back fireplaces create a cozy atmosphere with spacious areas for plenty of different activities for children and adults alike from playing board games to relaxing in the hot tub.
The large country kitchen and adjoining dining room enable your group to dine together. During the summer months there are bi-level decks with a wonderful view of Whiteface Mountain and peaceful gardens enclosed by a lattice fence to provide privacy. There is also ample room for outdoor grilling and dining under a large awning. The hot tub room opens onto the deck as well and adjoins a downstairs bathroom. Our backyard is adjacent to a wonderful village park so bring your bat and ball. There is a playing field with basketball and a softball area available. In the winter it has a great sledding hill. Located only one block from Main Street allows you to leave your car and walk to most restaurants and activities. The art center, arena, beach, village tennis courts, tobogganing, and hiking. Canoe and kayak rentals are only steps away on Mirror Lake. We have off street parking so our close proximity to Main Street makes walking the order of the day. There are five spacious bedrooms with a variety of king, double, and twin size beds. Plenty of room for up to 12 persons. Each bedroom has its own air conditioning in summer. There are 4 bathrooms as well. We have several TV's and VCR's, a DVD player, premium cable and a CD player in the house so children and adults can enjoy separate viewing. Our Dutch colonial is ideal for small groups and family reunions. Centrally located to enjoy the wonderful activities of Lake Placid from concerts in the park, hikes up Marcy, or a World Cup sports event. The owners, Bernadine & Joe are happy to share their knowledge of the Adirondacks and its great variety of things to do. Please see our extensive color photos of our home at our website listed below.
