| The house is located about 1/2 mile south of town (Bolton Landing). The town of Bolton Landing is 10 miles north of Lake George village and on the lake, (Bolton Landing not the house). The house is directly across the street (Rte 9/Lake shore drive) from the lake and is one of two homes located on the property. It is set back from the road about 150' and up on a hill. It has a large deck with great views of the lake and open woods in the back.
The house is about 900 square feet, with two bedrooms on the main floor. Each bedroom contains one double bed. There is also a sleeping loft which also has a double bed. Downstairs there is an additional bedroom with a full bath, this bedroom is accessible only through a separate, private entrance; this room also has a double bed. There is a modern eat in kitchen, which includes all pots, pans, dishes glasses and utensils, and a 10' x 16' screened in sun room. Also included are a BBQ, laundry, cable TV, VCR, and DVD player. The house is within walking distance of lakeside dining and a marina (with boat rentals, para-sailing, and wave runners). There are also three public beaches within 1/2 mile. There is no dock space available with the house. (bikers are welcome) There is allocated parking for two cars in the main driveway, but as I stated earlier, since the house is set back 150' from the road and up a hill there is some walking and several sets of stairs involved to reach it. Not a problem for your average person but not a good setup if you have walking or stair problems! In this description I have tried to answer all questions regarding the house that I've been asked in the past, so please read the description carefully. I believe 95% of all questions should be answered either by the description or the photos. If you have any other questions that are not included I would be glad to answer them. | Pet Policy: | all pets are considered on an individual basis. Obviously you stand a much better chance if you have a Shitsu as compared to a pit bull. If accepted there will be a $200 security deposit which will be promptly refunded if everything is OK. |
| Smoking Policy: | There is absolutely no smoking in the house under any circumstances. I have tried to make the property smoke free but unfortunately people do lie and smokers show up, although most people were honest it happens. If you must, keep it outside and don't throw your butts all over the yard. |
| Cleaning Policy: | You should leave the house as you received it, clean out the fridge & freezer, wash and dry the towels, sweep up, put things back where they were, clean the bathrooms. we do use a cleaning service between renters but they only have a short period of time to get ready for the next renter.
They will basically take care of whatever is missed or needs going over. If you came into a clean house leave it that way for the next person. |
