| A cozy year-round camp/home only 50 feet from the lake with a small sand beach. The clear water of Fern Lake offers swimming, boating, and terrific fishing. The camp was built in 1987 with living room, dining room, and kitchen in one area; two bedrooms, bath, and enclosed sleeping porch. Within 30 minutes of Santa's Workshop, High Falls Gorge, AuSable Chasm, Whiteface Mountain, ferry to Burlington, Vermont. It is also just 30 minutes to Lake Placid and its Olympic venues, shopping, and dining. There is a public golf course and tennis courts within five miles, and trout fishing in the famed AuSable River. The towns of AuSable Forks and Jay both have community playgrounds for children and Jay has a well-known swimming hole at the rocks in the river. We provide boats, preservers, etc in the summer - snow shoes and skis, ice fishing in the winter. All included. Virtually secluded in the winter. Unbeatable fall foliage. Unmatched value. | |
