Built in 1905, this classic Adirondack style "camp" is located on pristine Kiwassa Lake in the central high peaks region of the Adirondack mountains. This very private lakefront retreat is located on seven wooded acres with 250 feet of shoreline and plenty of places for exploring. Kiwassa's sandy bottom and shallow shoreline are especially nice for young children. The house has five bedrooms and two baths. You have the combined advantages of convenience and tranquil seclusion. This is a perfect place at which to simply relax or take full advantage of nearby regional activities. Enjoy spectacular lake and mountain views, hummingbirds, and sunsets from the comfort of the front porch rockers. Listen to the loons and catch up on your reading on a traditional Adirondack cure chair (chaise) on the screened porch. Sit around our new lakeside fire pit. Fish from the dock or rowboat, for bass, pike, and sunfish. Explore miles of interconnected waterways by canoe, kayak, or motorboat (rentals nearby). A public boat launch is 1/4 mile away; there's a suitable dock on site for a small motorboat. Climb to the top of Mt. Ampersand or other nearby peaks, large and small. Kiwassa Camp is located two miles from the historic village of Saranac Lake, where you'll find gift and craft stores, art galleries, music in the park, antique stores, and plenty of restaurants. See the 1980 Winter Olympic venues nearby and enjoy the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. Catch a play at the local Pendragon Theatre; ride the scenic Railroad between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Walk the trails of the popular Tupper Lake Wildlife Center. Visit the Visitor Interpretive Center in Paul Smiths for natural and regional history. Some of the best golf in the northeast is nearby. Leave furniture and amenities where they were found when upon arrival, and otherwise leave the place tidy, organized and ready for our cleaners to get to work. |

| Security Deposit Information: | There is a $350 Security Deposit due with the balance, two months prior to the rental date.
