| Overlooking the first green of the magnificent Saranac Inn Golf Course (Four and one-half STARS - Golf Digest), this peaceful woodland cabin is newly furnished and redecorated in the Adirondack decor of this beautiful region. Located perfectly for all of the many outdoor fun activities of this area, you are literally within a few minutes of swim beaches, the St. Regis canoe waters, a main NYS snowmobile trail, gorgeous Upper Saranac Lake (one mile to State boat launch), etc. Trails specific to all uses (snowshoeing, x-country skiing, hiking, mountain biking, snowmobiling) are adjacent to the property. Many of these activities can be done directly from the front door. The golf course is arguably the best maintained in the Adirondacks, yet is seldom crowded. Within a 35 - 40 minute drive are Whiteface Mountain and Titus Mountain ski centers. Numerous restaurants, shops, and other services can be found in Saranac Lake (14 miles), Lake Placid (23 miles), or Tupper Lake (15 miles). Malone is 44 miles to the north.
This rustic/modern house has two private bedrooms (one with a queen bed, one with antique double), antique dressers, and closet. A futon and antique daybed are in the living room, for additional sleeping. The kitchen is fully equipped (including range, microwave, toaster oven, blender, and all the implements you need to prepare, serve and enjoy good food and beverage. Some basic spices and condiments are even supplied. A gas grill is on the spacious deck that overlooks the golf course. There is a washer and dryer, a beautiful Vermont Castings woodstove, television with VCR, DVD, and basic cable. Cassette/radio boombox (with I-pod adaptor). Seasoned hardwood is provided for the woodstove and/or outdoor fireplace area. There is one bathroom with tub/shower. |
