| At the end of a well maintained dirt road, nestled on three wooded acres lies our family camp. Morningside River Camp boasts 150 foot of scenic waterfront. TWO large inviting docks for sunning, swimming, fishing and boat parking. Just outside the historic village of Saranac Lake, a nationally recognized "All America City" award recipient. Located a quick 10 miles away from the Olympic village of Lake Placid and 20 miles away from Tupper Lake.
Morningside is one of the oldest camps on the lake and remains true to it's original rustic Adirondack style. The camp has a cozy fully equipped kitchen with hot and cold running water. Separate town water is provided for drinking. There are modern full size appliances with a microwave and coffee maker/ utensils, pots and pans provided. You can have breakfast looking out a large picture window onto the lake and all her splendor. The living room is comfortable with cable TV. There are three bedrooms, each furnished with a double bed (all linens are provided). The lawn is ready for outdoor fun, with a gas grill, fire pit, chairs, picnic table plus a small sandy beach. To be a little closer to the nature that surrounds you, we have a private, outdoor, enclosed, hot water shower, and a private, well maintained, biodegradable outhouse or privy. The whole chain of lakes is literally a few feet from your your door. More than 20 miles of navigateable lakes and locks. Hundreds of acres of public forest land is easily reached by paddle. A well marked channel is perfect for your motor boat, and many hidden bays outside the channel suitable for kayaks and canoes only. Sneak up on a blue heron or a family of mallard ducks sunning themselves. There are TWO state maintained boat launches within a short ride of camp. TWO local marina's for boat rentals. Drop your line and try your luck at a "Whopper". There are some very nice northern pike "WATCH OUT!" these fish are wild not hand raised tubbies. There are also plenty of perch, bullhead and "lumberjack tough" bass. The Tri-Lake area has many points of interest to occupy your time. Golf courses, boat tours, Take a ride on the Adirondack Scenic Railway, museums ( Tupper Lake Wild Center), movie theaters, Olympic Village venues, enjoy a wide variety of dining experiences. There are weekly free concerts in the park, boat races, public beaches and picnic areas, art galleries, and the Pendragon theater that is a repertoire company. You can take a exhilarating wheeled ride down a newly renovated bobsled/luge run which is the oldest in North America. You can also take a gondola ride up to the top of Whiteface mountain "What a view!!!" You can work on climbing all of the 46 high peaks or you can just relax and and enjoy the healing mountain air. There is reliable cell phone coverage..... But we won't tell. |

If we do not receive your deposit within 7 days than your reservation will automatically be canceled. Check in NO sooner than 2pm check out is NO LATER than 11 am. NO Excuses. late fees will be applied to your account. |
