| Beech Trail Chalet is a four-season, vacation getaway, located on Indian Lake, in the heart the Adirondacks.
In the Spring, feel the thrill of nearby whitewater rafting and kayaking, as the snow begins to melt and the river starts to rise. Or, simply relax by the fire with a cup of tea or a book- enjoying the quiet, and perhaps catching a whitetail fawn as it strolls through the yard. In summer, enjoy Indian Lake's pristine waters for swimming, fishing, and boating. Rental includes the use of a canoe, life-jackets and fishing equipment. A quick walk takes you to our private dock, with a boat slip-ideal for those bringing their own boats or wishing to rent a boat just down the road at the Indian Lake Marina. A quick drive in any direction takes you to great hiking and mountain biking with spectacular views. Summer is also a great time to play some golf, visit nearby museums, shops and galleries, or head to Gore Mountain for a gondola ride with panoramic views of the high peaks. Or, you could drive a bit further to Old Forge or Lake George for many kid-oriented activities, including train rides, amusement and water parks, mini golf and more. The fall brings colorful foliage and crisp (bug-free) air, ideal for hiking, biking and leaf peeping on long country drives. A fall canoe or boat ride is an amazing way to see reflections on the lake of the rich orange, red and gold leaves contrasted with the bright blue sky. Once winter arrives, Indian Lake becomes a winter wonderland, and Beech Trail Chalet is a perfect home base for all your winter fun. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing and ice-skating are all free, and right down the street. Indian Lake has a little downhill slope which is free and fun for the little ones, but for the more adventurous, Gore Mountain is just 20 mins away and Whiteface Mountain in the Olympic village of Lake Placid is 60 mins away. Beech Trail Chalet has 3 bedrooms with queen beds, 1 "overflow room" with a full-sized sleeper futon, 1.5 baths, and a spacious kitchen with a breakfast bar, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and many small appliances. There is also an airy, light-filled Great Room with vaulted ceiling that offers a dining area with a table that seats 6, and a comfortable living area with sliding glass doors to the deck, a gas woodstove, rustic, handmade Amish furniture, and a queen sized hardwood futon that can sleep 2, if an extra bed is needed. On the ground floor, there is a laundry room with washer/dryer for your use, and upstairs, next to the loft bedroom and half bath, is a separate sitting area with an electric piano and winter views to the lake (in summer, the leaves on the tress obstruct the view). On the front deck, there is a chiminea, cedar Adirondack chairs, and a gas grill for fun summertime BBQs. There is a stereo, a TV (no reception) with a DVD player, a collection of DVDs and CDs, and a wide assortment of books and games. The house has wired and wireless internet service and FREE local and long distance calling. We look forward to your stay at our beautiful mountain home- and hope you enjoy it as your own. |

| Pet Policy: | Well trained, adult dogs (1yr+) are permitted with prior approval (sorry no cats- owner is VERY allergic).

| Smoking Policy: | For the health and comfort of our guests and household help, there is no smoking allowed on the premises. Many of our guests have extreme allergies to smoke, and it is hazardous to their health. Outside, smoking also becomes a woodland fire hazard.
Any evidence of smoking on the premises will lead to a $300 penalty, plus any applicable cleaning fees. |
| Cleaning Policy: | The house will be cleaned prior to your arrival, but maid service is not included in the rental fee. Prior to checkout, the chalet should be returned to the condition it was found (or a cleaning fee will be assessed).

| Linen Policy: | A one-time setup of linens and bath towels are included (sheets, blankets, bathroom towels), but you may want to bring your own beach towels. |
| Security Deposit Information: | A security deposit of $1000 will be collected at check-in, and held until successful inspection of the property after check-out. |
| Rental Rates: | Peak Season (July & August) $975 a week (1 week minimum).
Off-season rates (September through June) $875 per week, $150 a night (4 night minimum). ***Due to the high demand for off-season, 3 night rentals, we have just added a $525 3 night package*** Reservation Information MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY & AGE REQUIREMENTS- The maximum number of guests is limited to eight (8) persons. At least one person age 29 or older, must sign the rental agreement, and be present for the ENTIRE length of stay. One half of the rental rate is needed to hold the reservation (refundable up to 60 days prior to check-in, minus 3% service charge)** To make a reservation, click the "send owner an email inquiry" button below and complete the form. Be sure to include a phone and email address where you can be reached.
