| Come and enjoy all of the adventure, charm and beauty of the Adirondacks in our cozy Adirondack cottage. "Driftwood Cottage" is a good old fashioned summer camp just steps away from the beautiful Great Sacandaga Lake. The Sacandaga Lake area offers visitors a nice variety of recreational, historic and artistic attractions.
Driftwood cottage is located in a neighborhood of nice vacation homes on a private, paved road with little traffic. There is a filtered view of the lake from the camp.If you are in the yard you can look down & see the Dock & Beach area.The Camp offers 2 bedooms, 1 with a full sized bed, the other with bunk beds. Newly renovated bathroom, Fully equiped Kitchen with fridge, stove ,microwave,coffee maker,toaster,pots & pans & dishes. Living room with with a cathedral ceiling. Separating the kitchen & living room is a built in breakfast bar. Log ladder leads to "game room" loft. The loft has a fooseball table & arcade style video game. Also a sprawling front porch with adirondack chairs, log porch swing & dining table with chairs. The Living room offers an Air Conditioner & both bedrooms have fans. There is a flat screen T.V. with Cable & DVD player located in the living room & a small T.V. with Cable & VCR located in main bedroom. The Camp is decorated in an "Adirondack Lodge" style and has knotty pine walls, wood floors, log railings, a fireplace & rustic light fixtures. Outside you will find a picnic table, gas grill & outdoor fireplace. The Camp has a large yard where you could play badminton, croquet, horeshoes, etc. Also there is room to explore in the mature forest that is behind the Camp. Just a short stroll directly across the private road from the camp you will have access to a private 10' beach area,this is only about a 2 minute walk & it is on a slight hill.The beach area is private, sunny & open. You will have use of our private dock with sitting area on the end which has room for at least 4 Chairs.This is the perfect spot to swim, fish, kayak, canoe & watch the beautiful sunsets. There is a ladder on the dock for easy access into or out of the Lake. The Sunsets are Amazing from this spot !! This is an excellent area of the Lake to swim because the water depth has a very gradual pitch & does not drop off abruptly. Most Cell phones work excellent from the Cottage.We have AT&T & recieve full signal anywhere on the grounds. Driftwood Cottage is conveniently located just 9 Miles off the NYS Thruway, Amsterdam Exit. approx. 25 minutes to the Saratoga Race track, 50 minutes from Albany, and 60 minutes to Lake George. The cottage is located just 2 miles outside the small village of Broadalbin where you can find many ammenities including: Fine Dining, Shops, Markets & Deli, Pizzarias, Laundromat, Information & Visitors Center. There is also a Stewarts Shop, Dunkin' Donuts, Dominoes Pizza, Subway Restaraunt, & Dairy Frost Ice Cream. The Broadalbin free public boat launch is located just 2 miles from the camp, if you choose to bring your own boat or personal watercraft. There are a lot of things to do for everyone within a few minutes drive of the cottage. Some ideas might include: Adirondack Animal Land, A Drive-In movie theater, Go-Karts, Batting Cages, Mini Golf, Museums, Bowling & a Bike Path. |

| Cleaning Policy: | We expect the cottage and it's grounds to be left in the same clean manner as how you found it when you arrived. A cleaning person will clean in between rentals. This should only have to be a "Light Cleaning". The cleaning person will dust and vacuum throughout the cottage, and clean the bathroom. As previously stated, this should all be a "Light Cleaning". Anything used should be cleaned and returned to place found. All Garbage & Recyclables shall be placed in the containers provided. |

| Security Deposit Information: | There will be a security/damage/cleaning deposit of $500 required. If you choose to bring a pet with you there will be an addional $100 security deposit required.The security deposit will gladly be refunded when the cottage is left in the same manner as how it was found upon arrival. However, if there are any damages or misuse, the deposit may be held in whole or in part and if damages exceed the security deposit, the rentee may be held responsible for further compensation. |
