The great room opens onto a huge two-tiered deck overlooking the lake, where you will enjoy relaxing with your morning coffee, dining outside, and sitting under the evening stars. Fifteen people can be accomodated comfortably. There is a full basement with garage. In summer enjoy swimming, boating, fishing and water sports. In addition to lounging on the sandy beach, the lake features a gradually sloping sandy bottom with a large shallow area, making it ideal for children and water enthusiasts of all ages. There is a large lawn for all kinds of activities, a firepit on the beach,and a secluded hammock area nestled among the pines for relaxation. A canoe is available or you may bring your own boat and use the state-operated boat launch on the lake. Fall is the perfect time for hiking in the mountains or near the lakes and seeing a stunning show of turning leaves. In winter the Adirondacks transform into a beautiful snow kingdom. Snowmobiling is fabulous - you can access the large trail system from your doorstep to the lake. Snowmobiles are available for rent from local shops or bring your own. Downhill skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing are available 20 minutes away at Oak Mountain and 45 minutes away at Gore Mountain. You can also enjoy other winter activities in the region, including cross-country skiing, skating, and activities for children. Speculator, within a 15 minute drive, offers great restaurants, a full-service grocery store, other shopping, tennis courts, and a playground. The Lake Pleasant golf course, a 9-hole golf course overlooking lake views, is within a 15 minute drive and is open to the public. |
