There is wood decor in just about every room in this townhome (bathrooms included!) to give you the rustic feel you're looking for in your Adirondack vacation! The kitchen is fully equipped...................just bring your food!! Or, go out to the restaurants in North Creek, a two minute drive, and dine out or order in!! Be sure to visit some of the quaint shops in North Creek for that special Adirondack souvenir! Comfortably accommodating up to eight people, Gore View Lodge includes every amenity you expect in a high quality rental from linens to wine glasses! Conveniently located with a spectacular view from the living room, dining room and master bedroom of the Burnt Ridge chair lift & ski trails at Gore Mountain. You can even see the gondola on a clear day! This is an ideal place from which to explore all the wonders of the Adirondacks in any season. If you want to get away from the crowds, but like the comforts of home, this beautifully appointed townhome is for you. It's perfect for up to four couples or two families with its open living area. Everything you need for a carefree vacation is provided! The master bedroom sleeps up to three people with a king size bed and a pull out bed. The second bedroom sleeps up to five with a full size bed, a set of bunk beds, and a pull out bed. The queen size sofa sleeper in the living room can also be used for sleeping arrangements as it converts into a very comfortable air mattress. With three televisions and three DVD / VHS players throughout the house, the kids can watch what they want or bring their game consoles to escape to their own "space"! Play cards, choose a jigsaw puzzle, play a game or relax with a book - all provided in the armoires! We have a 32" LCD Flat Screen TV in the living room and a 32" LCD Flat Screen in the master bedroom! Upgraded cable TV service in the living room includes 60 digital stations, (4) HBOs and (4) Cinemax Channels!! If you would rather listen to music, there are 25 music channels included with the cable TV service. Or listen to your own tunes on our iPOD docking and charging station! Spill something on your favorite shirt No problem, there is a washer and dryer in the townhome! The Summit at Gore Mountain is nestled on a hill overlooking Gore Mountain Ski Area and located very close to the entrance to Gore Mountain. Bring your bathing suits!! The Summit has a Community Center that features a year round indoor swimming pool and sauna. The Community Center also features a game room with a foosball table and pool table. NO NEED TO DRIVE TO GORE MOUNTAIN!! Stay with us and The Summit will provide you with a FREE shuttle to Gore Mountain Ski Area that drops you off right in front of the ticket window!! Night skiing and tubing is now open at Gore Mountain's North Creek Ski Bowl! Want to ski somewhere different? Whiteface Mountain is just over an hours drive from Gore. Garnet Hill cross-country center is 15 minutes down the road. There are cross country ski trails as well as snowshoeing available. Spring/Summer/Fall: The Gore Mountain area is a great "Base of Operations" for you to explore the Adirondack Mountains.The Hudson River comes alive in the spring and there are several white water rafting companies within 5 miles of the townhome offering rafting for any level of adventure that you seek. From Gore View Lodge, you can enjoy the summer thoroughbred horse races or catch a concert in Saratoga Springs (45 minutes)! Visit beautiful Long Lake (45 minutes), Indian Lake (20 minutes), Schroon Lake (25 minutes) and many other beautiful Adirondack Lakes! In Long Lake you can even take a seaplane ride and explore the Adirondacks from the air! Take a day trip to Lake Placid (1hr, 20 minutes) to see the Olympic venues and still be back to the house in plenty of time for dinner! Drive to the village of Lake George (25 minutes) and shop the designer outlets, sun on the great beaches, enjoy the many restaurants or have dinner on a Lake George Tour Boat! If you prefer, you can also visit several northern Lake George beaches in Bolton Landing (30 minutes).You can take a day trip to explore the quaint village of Manchester, Vermont (90 minutes) or head north to Lake Champlain which is about 1 3/4 hours from the townhome.Stay local and visit Adirondack Lakes such as Loon Lake, and Minerva Lake, (15-20 minutes) for kayaking, boating, swimming or canoeing. The town of North Creek is 2 minutes away. There you will find the Upper Hudson River Railway, which offers train rides along the Hudson. There are shops and restaurants in North Creek as well as a climbing wall! There is hiking for every age and ability level in any direction you choose to go. Garnet Hill offers mountain biking trails and there is excellent road biking too. You can go for summer or fall foliage gondola rides, check out the Barton Garnet Mines tour, or visit the Adirondack Interpretive Centers or the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake. If golf is your thing, Saratoga National is a close drive as is Top of the World Golf Course, which is poised high above Lake George with beautiful views for miles! Come ski, tube, hike, fish, hunt, canoe, kayak, snowmobile, or just enjoy the peace and solitude of the Adirondacks!
