| North Shore Camp is located in the southern region of the Adirondacks Park at West Caroga Lake, Caroga, NY. North Shore Rd is the most private and secluded shore of West Caroga Lake, yet minutes from the village. Enjoy a wide variety of summer and winter activities for the whole family. The 185' waterfront lot provides guests with privacy, tranquility and great direct access to the lake. Jump from the lower deck and floating docks to the water for a refreshing summer splash. The camps bow roof style makes it fun, rustic, unique and the perfect setting for a relaxed vacation in an informal and natural atmosphere. Its floor to ceiling windows provide a great open view of the lake.
This small camp has most of the amenities found in a regular home. Three small bedrooms, one bathroom, living and dining area, decks, porch, fire pit, grill and patio furniture. Hot water, newly furnished, equipped kitchen (new appliances), TV, DVD, telephone, magazines, table games, books; linen and towels are provided. Wii game system available for rent. Enjoy swimming, fishing and canoeing right at the camp. Boats can be rented at the Peck Lake Marina and Caroga Lake Marina. Some of the fish species are walleye, northern pike, small mouth bass, brown trout and many others. West Caroga Lake is connected to East Caroga Lake through a navigable channel. The lake averages 34' feet deep with a maximum depth of around 74 feet. Some of the activities close by are the Nick Stoner Municipal Golf Course, an amusement park, the ski area (Royal Mountain), walking trays, hunting, hiking, snowmobile and ATV trails, all are within minutes from the camp. During the summer - from May to August - the Royal Mountain Racing Track is opened. Located on Route 10, this track hosts MotoCross, SuperCross, and the Hill Climb for the ATV enthusiast. The camp's location is very convenience and close to many amenities in the Adirondacks region: 58 minutes to Albany, 60 mins. to Utica (Adirondacks Scenic Train), 12 mins to Johnstown and Gloversvilles Shopping Center, 1 hr to Saratoga Race Track , Saratoga Art Performance Center, Gore Mountain and Howe Cavern (Schoharie County). Through Rd 29 to I-87 is 1.5 hrs to Lake George. |
