| Adirondack Log Home on a hill overlooking a secluded cove on Lake Abanakee. A spacious four season home that sits on three acres and has a large wraparound porch with a view of the lake. Sandy Beach for swimming, includes Canoe and kayak, the Roost is located in the hamlet of Indian Lake.
The house is bright and well equipped with Adirondack furniture, a picnic table, and gas grill on the covered deck. Inside there are three levels of comfortable mountain living. The lower level has a large family room, bedroom (double bed), full bath, and laundry room. Satellite TV, board games, and books are included. The main floor has an open floor plan with wide plank pine floors, living room with a woodburning stove, dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, and another full bath. A 2nd bedroom (double bed) that opens out onto the deck with a beautiful lake view completes the main level. The upper level includes a 3rd Bedroom (queen) and a 4th bedroom with twin bunkbeds. Outside is a fire pit for s'mores and star watching Every season brings you close to nature and activities abound. In the spring, experience the thrill of whitewater rafting through the Hudson River Gorge with one of the many experienced river guides. In summer, canoe or kayak on beautiful Lake Abanakee or take a short walk to the private beach for a refreshing swim. Loons, hummingbirds, great blue herons, and ospreys are all neighbors, with the occasional visit from an otter. Fall provides time to relax and take in the crisp, clear Adirondack air. Enjoy the spectacular fall foliage by taking a ride on the Gore Gondola for a view of the High Peaks or simply look out the back door. In winter, go cross country skiing on a trail that begins right on the property or snowshoe under the stars. The town of Indian Lake provides numerous access points to New York's extensive system of snowmobile trails. Gore Mountain is only 20 minutes away for alpine skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. Visit the adorable village of North Creek with its restaurants and shops. Indian Lake has two golf courses and numerous hiking trails. Take a short drive to Blue Mountain Lake and the Adirondack Museum or go to North Creek for a scenic train ride. Lake George and Old Forge are less than an hour away for shopping, amusement parks, water parks and mini golf. The house is equipped with snow shoes, a canoe and a double kayak that can be launched from the dock. In town, there is a free ice rink and a ski hill. . |

| Cleaning Policy: | The house will be clean upon your arrival, there is no daily maid service as part of the rental. Prior to departure please leave the house as clean as you found it. Remove all trash, wash all dishes, wipe counters, strip beds, and leave linens/towels to be washed in laundry room. |
| Linen Policy: | Linens are provided (includes 1 queen, 2 double, 2 twin, sleeper sofa, and cot). If you use our sheets, please strip beds when you leave and place in laundry room. If you bring your own, we ask that you please remake beds with the house sheets before you leave. Each bedroom has a blanket and comforter, as well as pillows. Bath towels are available, but please bring your own beach towels. |
| Security Deposit Information: | $600 security deposit is required with the full rental payment due 7 days prior to check in. Security deposit will be returned after the house has been cleaned and checked, about 2 weeks. |
| Rental Rates: | Fall/Winter/Spring: weekly rate - $1200
3 day minimum weekend - $600 Summer: weekly rate only - $1700 Memorial Day - Labor Day sat to sat or sun to sun, availability dependent 50% of rental to hold reservation (non-refundable for summer, refundable within 30days of rental rest of the year) full rental fee and security deposit must be paid 7 days prior to check in. |
