| Relax, refresh and rejuvenate in the Adirondacks! Whether you are a feet-in-the-sand beach dweller, an active, outdoors sports enthusiast or someone in between, our camp is sure to please. Situated directly on Star Lake, our comfortable camp will have something to offer everyone in the family. Our sandy beach has a gradual drop-off making swimming and kayaking easy. The deck is great for barbequing and sunsets. Enjoy the basketball hoop or the horseshoe pit (you dont have to be that good at horseshoes to still have some laughs!) Within easy walking distance we have restaurants, tennis/basketball courts and hiking trails. The nicely groomed 9 hole golf course is a mere 2 minute walk away .
Star Lake is a spring fed lake known as the Gem of the Adirondacks. It meanders beautifully to create many bays to explore either by boat or on foot. Hiking trails abound within the Adirondack Park, each with varying degrees of challenge. Our nearby favorite is by the lake on a woodsy trail with a waterfall as your final reward. If you want a vacation from driving, park your car! We have a good sized grocery store that carries most necessities (and also rents movies). Everything you need is an easy walk from the house. If you have some wanderlust, there is always the new and fascinating Wild Center in Tupper Lake, Potsdam with its 4 universities, Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. At the camp is an extensive list of the many day trips that are possible. The Lake House at Sunset Bay has been faithfully updated to maintain its Adirondack charm. The cozy living room is punctuated by the glorious, unencumbered lake view and a fireplace. There is a game table for chess or puzzles and an array of games, books, DVDs and an iPod station. The kitchen is large and very convenient, featuring new appliances and granite countertops. It is thoroughly appointed so as to allow virtually any cooking whim to be explored (which is often fun to do on vacation!). There is a separate dining room. Upstairs youll find three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a gorgeous view and a loveseat and a double bed. The second lakeview bedroom is large, with two twin beds, a sofa and room for a crib/extra sleeping space. The third room features a queen-sized bed. All beds have good, comfortable mattresses to complement those cool, Adirondack nights for excellent sleeping. There are 2 bathrooms, one full with tub and shower and one bath downstairs. Whether it is loon watching, star gazing by the fire pit or just relaxing by the water we hope you come and experience Star Lake as a special place to connect with nature, friends and family. |
