Description:
Authentic log cabin located on a pristine lake in the southern Adirondacks. You'll love the quiet solitude of the early morning. Sit back on our lakeside dock, listen to the loons and savor a hot cup of coffee.
Take our canoe or row boat and paddle around the beautiful private lake. The lake is stocked yearly, so fishing is good. You will find rainbow trout, rock bass, small mouth and large mouth bass, chain pickerel, yellow perch and brown bullhead. Bring your own motor boat or jet ski and launch at our site right on the property. We have some life preservers, in several sizes for your use.
Build a roaring fire in our large outdoor fireplace, listen for the loons evening calls, roast some marshmallows or enjoy a glass of wine.
Even on a rainy day you can feel like you are outdoors, but you are protected from the elements while sitting on our comfortable 12' x 20' lakeside screened porch. The porch has a table with chairs, a glider and a hammock. On that sunny day, as you leave the porch you are just steps to the lawn, picnic table, fireplace, dock and swimming. We also, have a floating dock you can swim to. Additional outside seating for eight is provided.
We have TWO FULL SIZE REFRIGERATORS with upper freezer compartments. The living room fireplace contains a 40,000 BTU gas heater. Living room TV has a DVD player, two of the bedrooms have a TV and DVD player. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs, each has a portable fan and small electric heater.
There is a large propane grill on the roadside porch or use the lakeside fireplace/grill for an outside cooking experience.
There is NO WiFi or cable/direct TV, just bring yourself and enjoy a quiet and peaceful vacation, your worth it!

***Cabin SLEEPS ONLY 8.***Please for your own comfort and our septic system, only 8 people.

dancing and food.
AUGUST-The Herkimer County Fair Frankfort, N.Y. Food, entertainment and music.
It is less than an hour away! Check it out at the Herkimer County fair website.
-Canal Celebration in Little Falls, N.Y. ; usually the 2nd weekend.

Pet Policy: SORRY, NO PETS allowed. Some of our renters have allergies and one of the owners is allergic to dogs and cats. If you have company PLEASE be thoughtful and have them leave their pets at home. Thank you!!

Smoking Policy: No smoking in the cabin. Smoking is allowed outside, no butts in the yard or in the water please! No beer caps or tabs left on the ground.
Cleaning Policy: ******We have NO Cleaning Service. Before your departure the cabin needs to be cleaned: refrigerators cleaned out and wiped out, floors in the cabin and on the enclosed porch are to be swept and mopped, bathroom sink, shower and toilet is to be cleaned, dressers and end tables are to be wiped of any spills, garbage cans in cabin are to be emptied. Cleaning check list at cabin. If cabin is not cleaned according to check list, $100.00 will be deducted from the security deposit. ******
Linen Policy: Renters must bring their own linens OR they are available at an additional fee of $65.00.

Linens consist of-Kitchen linens: 8 dish clothes, 8 dish towels, 8 hand towels
-Bathroom linens: 8 hand towels, 16 wash clothes, 16 bath towels
-Bed linens: sheets & pillow cases for 3 double beds and 2 twins
Security Deposit Information:
There is a $250.00 security deposit due with your rental deposit.
If camp is left clean (check-off list provided at cabin) and no damages found, your deposit will be refunded within 10 days after your departure.

WEEKLY RENTALS in-May, June & September (after Labor day weekend) $900.00
July & August $1,300.00

RESERVATION requirements-half of the weekly rental plus security deposit.
Balance due the week BEFORE your arrival date.

Weekly rentals Saturday-Saturday; arrival 2:00 p.m. departure 11:00 a.m.

Please call for possible nightly/weekend rentals in May, June, September and October:
nightly rate during these months is $150.00.

About Us: To all our returning renters, you may see a new e-mail and contact number. The camp is co-owned by a fairly large family and it's time to give the previous managers a well deserved rest. The new guard is now on duty. We look forward to meeting you and continuing to offer the cabin for other's enjoyment.

Why we think you will enjoy staying in Pleasant Lake: Although the lake is large enough to boat, ski and jet ski on, the lake is quite quiet, especially during the week. It is also a privately owned lake with no public excess. I guess you could say Pleasant Lake is a very "pleasant lake" to have a vacation on.

Why our property is special: Our water excess is quite safe and suitable for small children. They can actually walk from shore, where the water level is shallow and gradually becomes deeper. Some of our past renters have said that our cabin has a very homey and comfortable feel.
