SECLUDED LAKE FRONT CABIN ON BEAUTIFUL LAKE CLEAR, Lake Clear (VR8336)

Camp Sanjamaw is located on Lake Clear, which is well known for it's crystal clear waters, it's sandy lake-bottom, and all the fishing you can imagine on your vacation. The wildlife is spectacular (loons, blue herons, mergansers, bald eagles and hawks). You will wake up to hear the loons talking amongst themselves every morning. A good portion of the lakeshore is state-land which is undeveloped and helps keep a tranquil setting for your family vacation. There is no public boat launch site wh …ich ensures that there are few motorboats, if you decide to bring one with you we can provide you with access to a boat launch. We do offer rowboats, canoes, and paddle boats as a bonus (Note: they are accessible as long as the prior rental left them in good working condition, again please understand this is not part of the cabin rental). We also offer kayaks ($150.00 each) and paddleboards ($175.00 each) for weekly rentals.

Enjoy history with a self guided tour of the unique "cure cottage" architecture, or join Historic Saranac Lake for a walking tour that includes a stop in the Saranac Laboratory Museum. The Saranac Lake Free Library houses the Dickert Wildlife Collection, and wooden versions of some of the same animals can be ridden at the Adirondack Carousel in William Morris Park. We host museums like the world class Wild Center nature museum, which is about 20 miles from Saranac Lake in nearby Tupper Lake, and the Adirondack Museum, which is an hour away in Blue Mountain Lake. Take the Adirondack Scenic Railroad or drive 6 miles to Lake Placid and visit the Olympic Facilities like the ski jumps, Olympic Oval, and bobsled track. Natural wonders like High Falls Gorge and Ausable Chasm are great to explore. Consider a drive up to the summit of Whiteface, the Olympic Mountain, for fantastic views.
