Just-a-Mere Camp is a secluded camp located on Lake Francis property with access to a beautiful private lake located near the Village of Indian Lake, a small town nestled in heart of the Adirondack's.

It is the perfect place to swim, fish, canoe, kayak, hike, and run. Its quite setting lends itself to be a fantastic place t …o unplug, relax, and recharge.

Just-a-Mere Camp is a cozy, simply furnished but well-equipped cabin located just a short easy walk from the lake. Its long wooden beams, open floor plan, and cathedral ceiling give it an old-fashioned, rustic feel that will provide the ideal hideaway for nature lovers looking for complete solitude. Loons, white tail deer, wild turkey, beaver, frogs, turtles, and blue heron are common place. Even moose have been sighted on the property!

By foot, kayak, rowboat, or canoe, guests are encouraged to explore the lake's natural bays, coves, and islands. (Pictures on this site were taken early July 2014 on a Kayak trip around the lake). Fishing is another favorite activity here on Lake Francis, which is home to northern pike, large and smallmouth bass, perch and bullhead (Catch and Release and electric trolling motors only - motor for rent).

We hope you will choose to become part of a beautiful family tradition that spans nearly 100 years. Lake Francis is located off the main road by 1 and 1/3 miles from Route 28 near Indian Lake, NY.

Pet Policy: Well behaved and controlled pets allowed with Pet Fee of $100/wk. Please note that there are other renters and property owners, and pet rules will apply. Keep pets off all furniture, no excessive barking, dogs may be asked to be kept on a leash if needed, clean up after all dogs in every way.

Smoking Policy: No smoking in cabin. Smoking outside of cabin permitted. Please take care of all smoking waste items.

Cleaning Policy: Please leave the cabin as you found it. Limited cleaning will be expected from owner after rent week. Excessive cleaning efforts will be charged to renter @ $75.

Linen Policy: Renters are to bring their own linen and sleeping needs and life jackets if needed. In 2020-2021 There will be no towels, sheets or blankets, pillows for you to use.

Security Deposit Information: 50% of weekly rental to hold date. Full payment due 2 weeks prior to arrival.
