“Stayed here with family during the Christmas break and everything was perfect. The house itself is renovated, clean, and very cozy! The kitchen is spacious and is equipped with everything needed to accommodate just about any meal. The island has seats for practically everyone and the kitchen opens up to the living room, so it's easy to socialize while cooking. The dining room table comfortably seats the whole group so you can sit down to a proper meal. The property is beautiful, with clear views of the lake (semi-frozen at the time of our visit) from the backyard and main deck. The hill down to the lake came in very handy for sledding, as the kids had a blast. It was hard to get a sense of the lakefront with the snow on the ground and the lake mostly frozen, but the boathouse and dock is quite nice and the view from the boathouse deck is expansive. I can imagine this being an amazing summer destination. With regard to the location, this house was perfect for us. It's 2 miles from Main Street in Saranac Lake, which has shops and restaurants and only about 15 minutes from the village of Lake Placid where we spent most of our time playing ice hockey on Mirror Lake. So, if you're looking into Lake Placid but want the comfort and convenience of home (not to mention the cost savings), this is the perfect destination. Although we didn't need much once we arrived given that everything was in perfect order, the owner was very responsive, courteous and helpful throughout the process. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again or to recommend it to anyone considering a trip to the region. We hope to be back next year to enjoy more activities in this winter paradise! ”

“We spent a dreamy week in this lake house during the month of January. It was a Winter Wonderlandstraight out of a movie! It snowed just a bit every day, re-dusting the trees and the property with more magic. I know Im being dramatic but we were kind of in awe. The views from both the house and the boathouse are stunning I must confess, I spent a lot of time gazing out the window. (And taking photos.) We skied at Whiteface, did night skiing at nearby Mt. Pisgah which was perfect for our eight year-old, and we had a great time sledding at a local golf course. We also enjoyed walking around both of the towns of Saranac and Lake Placid. This house has a modern Adirondack feel it has literally everything youd want, including a beautiful fireplace, a gigantic kitchen, a long dining room table, a big TV, a wonderful kitchen island, and bunk beds. It was extremely clean and I especially appreciated their excellent Covid protocol, since I have been nervous to travel anywhere during the Pandemic. They spelled out what I felt was a solid cleaning plan and I liked how transparent they were about it. We cooked, we sipped hot cocoa by the fire, we ordered takeout from a few local places, and we just generally had a wonderful time as a family. ”

“This was our third time staying at Terry's Lakehouse and we've thoroughly enjoyed each visit. The layout of the house is perfect for our family, and we LOVE the fireplace and deck!!! The view of Saranac Lake is absolutely breathtaking! The owners are very nice, accommodating, and have always made my family and I feel welcome and right at home. We will be back again for sure :-)”

“This house was amazing! Very spacious with a very open layout. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything you possibly could need. There was lots of seating for eating meals together. The house had a great back deck with an amazing view of the lake. Outdoor gas grill was in great condition and we used it every day. Bathrooms were huge, water pressure was great and they were fully stocked with towels and tp. Beds were comfortable and all linens were provided. We brought our dogs and they loved the house too. What you see is what you get.....and more. Would recommend this house to everyone and will definitely try to make it back in the future! Thank you Terrys Lake House for sharing your awesome house with us! ”

“My family of 3 stayed here for a week last summer with another family of 4, and I can't say enough good things about it! Our days were filled with boating, exploring, swimming, and tubing- just the country getaway we needed. The house was clean and spacious, with a nice kitchen for meal preparation and the most lovely deck with a beautiful water view. I loved that dogs are welcome- my dog had a blast swimming in the lake! Another wonderful aspect of this property was the boathouse with the deck on top- stargazing with a drink in hand was an idyllic way to end each evening. Would absolutely visit again!”

“This house is spectacular. Its immaculately clean and in a perfect location. In addition to a great deck directly off the living room, theres a boat house with a second deck on top. The beds are very high quality as are all the amenities in the bathrooms and kitchen. Great views of Lower Saranac and the surrounding mountains. We saw two fantastic sunsets from the deck. Would definitely rent again!”

“Our family of three and another family of four stayed at Terry's Lake House for a long weekend in February. It's a truly beautiful spot right on the lake. The house itself is quite spacious. Plenty of room for two couples and three kids. There's a large dining room table for family style meals and a well-supplied kitchen for cooking. The bedrooms are large - the beds comfy! The floor plan is open and provides spectacular lake views from the common area - which is all windows on the lake side. There's also a lovely deck off the back, which I imagine would be particularly nice in the summer. Oh, and the fireplace - a perfect spot for hot chocolate at the end of a chilly day!
The outside space is truly stunning. A long hill, perfect for sledding, leads straight to a boathouse and lake. We were able to walk out on the lake, tromp in the surrounding woods and build snowmen. The town is also adorable.
We would love to go back. Maybe next time in the summer, so we can enjoy some swimming and fishing!”
