Northern Region
This region covers the northern most section of the Adirondack Park and continues up to the Canadian border. There are several beautiful lakes in the Northern Region, including Chazy, Chateaugay and Lake Titus. The "Star of the North" or Malone is the largest town and offers every major convenience. In Burke, you can visit the Wilder Farmstead, boyhood home of Almanzo Wilder, husband of Laura Ingalls Wilder, writer of Little House on the Prairie fame. This farm exhibit is the subject of the book Farmer Boy. Ottawa and Montreal are both an easy drive away for an exciting day trip to another country!
