One of Lake Placid's only sandy lake bed is available for your pleasure and is perfect for children to play because of its visibility from the cabin, sandy bottom, and slowly sloping depth from the shoreline. The beach and lawn area in front of the cabin offer a fire pit for the evening gatherings after a …busy day of swimming, canoeing, hiking and pleasurable sunset cruises around Lake Placid. There is nothing like sitting around an open fire and reminiscing about a perfect day on the lake. There are many trails for exploring the woods and surrounding shoreline, keep your camera ready for shots of the amazing wildlife such as blue herons and loons. If your looking for a peaceful getaway with perfect views of Lake Placid Lake and surrounding mountains then this is the place for and your family. The rental includes a NEW 2022 pontoon boat equipped with a fish finder, two kayaks and a canoe. If you prefer a power boat there is the option of renting one at the marina. Pristine water with abundant fishing opportunities available. The three bedroom log cabin has a one room with a bunk bed with full, twin beds, and two other rooms each with one queen bed. For those lazy afternoons there are also two Adirondack style love seat couches on the screened porch. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. An island separates the kitchen, dining area and makes a great gathering spot. The kitchen, dining, and living areas afford a beautiful view of the shore, Lake Placid lake, and Hawk Island which is directly across the lake with three mountain ranges behind. The living room includes Adirondack style couches and chairs. There is also a full bath with tub/shower and also an outside heated shower. The side screened porch just off the kitchen is a peaceful way to start or end your day enjoying life on Lake Placid. While many choose to detach from the daily life, WIFI is available if you must stay connected.
An enjoyable 15 minute boat ride to Lake Placid Village offers many things to do, including many dining options or just a stroll along the Main Street with all its beautiful and interesting shops to explore. Don't forget the Arena where there is always skating, hockey and events taking place. All of the other Olympic amenities, such as the ski jumps, bobsled run, Whiteface Mountain, etc are all very exciting to visit as well, but the return to your lakeshore retreat is always the best part of the day.

Why we think you will enjoy staying in Lake Placid: There are many things to do in Lake Placid Village such as shopping, sightseeing, visiting the Olympic Arena and the other Olympic sites. A walk around Mirror Lake which is in the center of Lake Placid Village is very enjoyable and you will see many locals as well as visitors enjoying the walk or run down the Main Street and around Mirror Lake.
Why our property is special: One of the only sandy lake bed on Lake Placid Lake. Our lake front cabin offers a gradual depth and clean clear water to swim or enjoy water sports. Beautiful sunsets over the lake and mountains which are spectacular each evening while enjoying a fire in the outdoor fire pit. Several trails to hike available right from the property and around the lake. Many happy memories are made here.
