The cabin has two bedrooms - each with its own bath and queen bed. The combined living/dining area faces the lake and has large windows and a French door with access to the porch for sitting and enjoying the sunsets. There is a gas fireplace for those cool evenings or just for atmosphere. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher,, oven and microwave and there is a laundry room in the basement for guests use. The cabin is located on a quiet road, just steps from the lake. There is a dock and easy access boat launch. Nearby is a community beach for swimming, picnicking and relaxing. The house comes with a canoe for your use and life jackets are supplied. There is a charcoal grill and outdoor fire pit in the back of the house. Loon Lake is about 25 minutes from Saranac Lake, 45 minutes from Plattsburg and about 40 minutes from Lake Placid where you will find restaurants, shops, stores and information on the hiking trails, canoeing areas, local golf or other attractions. While there are no shops, restaurants or stores in Loon Lake , there are small general stores within about 10 minutes drive. |
