| Completely secluded riverfront cabin with incredible panoramic mountain and river views. This rustic cabin is situated on seven acres of full privacy with 800 feet of water frontage on the Sacandaga River. For those who love peace and quiet it is a perfect paradise. Walk along the river fishing or fly-fishing, enjoy bird watching or hiking on nearby trails. Imagine tubing several miles down the river to the Great Sacandaga Lake right from your doorstep! Listen to the river right outside the cabin or use the river as a Jacuzzi! You can also just relax and enjoy the view from wherever you are on this vast private peace of Adirondack Park. Approximately 350 feet to the left of the house there is an area that may be used for swimming and where you may swim against the current (the strength of the current varies across different sections of the river). The water in the river is usually very warm because it runs from the mountains through the Algonquin Lake where it warms up before coming to our place.
The camp is secluded without being inconveniently remote. There are several lakes around within a short distance. Travel 9 miles to the south to Northville boat ramp and beach on the Great Sacandaga Lake (which is 30 miles long). Travel four miles to Wells where you will find a public beach on Algonquin Lake or a few more miles to Pleasant Lake beach or to Moffit campground beach and boat ramp. Ride the Gondola at Gore Mountain which is only 28 miles away, drive six miles to Lap Land Lake cross country ski resort or just snowmobile right from the camp! It is about 30 - 50 minutes to Saratoga Springs and Lake George and about three hours to Canada. This fully furnished camp features a kitchen with all the new modern appliances including range, microwave, full-size refrigerator, and an electric tea/coffee maker as well as a newly remodeled full bath with a tub and shower. The living area has rocking chairs, a sleeper, a full size futon, a dining table, a telephone (bring your calling card for long distance). We offer an HD TV with a 24 hours movie channel and a local Albany news channel. Also we have a CD/DVD player with a collection of movies. The main lodge has an enclosed veranda overlooking the river and mountains with a table and chairs for summer/fall dining. The camp offers two bedrooms down with double beds in each and one large bedroom up with three double beds (sleeps six to eight). For an additional price we can also offer a Kids Condo next to the main camp with two bunk beds, sleeps four (the kids will love it!). There is no kitchen or bathroom in the Kids Condo. The camp can accommodate up to 16 people, please contact the owner and inquire about the package price if you are a big party. There is an outdoor fireplace with a swing set and benches. Enjoy toasting your marshmallows or grilling kebabs. Two picnic tables as well as plenty of outdoor furniture is also provided. | Pet Policy: | One dog or one cat is free, each additional animal is $50 per week. Dog owners need to bring clean old comforters/blankets to cover the couches in the living room if their animals occasionally get on furniture. We would prefer for the dogs not to be on any of the furniture but if you know that your animal occasionally does it, please cover the 2 couches with comforters. Please clean up after you dog in the area immediately surrounding the cabin. |
| Smoking Policy: | Smoking is not permitted inside the cabin. |
| Cleaning Policy: | We utilize a cleaning service between rentals, which is included in our rental rates (no extra charge). Prior to departure, we expect renters to empty the refrigerator, strip beds, wash all dishes, leave furniture and amenities where they were found upon arrival, and otherwise leave the place tidy, organized and ready for our cleaning service to get to work. A detailed departure checklist is posted at the house. A $70 refundable cleaning deposit is required which will be returned to you if you leave the cabin in good condition. |
| Linen Policy: | Pillows and plenty of blankets are provided. Linens are not provided. You need to bring your own linens and towels. Our covers for pillows and mattress pads are not linens. Please, make sure you put your own linens on top of the covers. |
| Security Deposit Information: | A $200 deposit is required to secure the week. A full balance must be paid 4 weeks prior to arrival. For weekends rental a 20% deposit is required. |
| Rental Rates: | $850 per week last week in June - August 31st.
$700 per week September - June 25 (up to $30 extra heating charge per night will be added for cold months). Memorial Day Weekend 3 nights minimum - $145 per night. Labor Day Weekend $145 per night for 3 nights or $165 per night for 2 nights. Seasonal and weekend rates in low season as well as discounts for consecutive weeks are available, please contact the owner. |
