It is about 10 minutes from Gore Mountain and the quaint town of North Creek, and it is only about 30 minutes from Lake George, for those who are looking for alittle more excitement. Set on a quiet dead-end road, this retired farm boasts 2 streams running throughout the year, with lots of hiking trails on-site as the back property line abutts thousands of acres of New York State land. This is a beautiful site for a family reunion or retreat. Leaf-peeping and skiing at Gore are all-time favorites.
This grand house easliy sleeps 18, in 6 carpeted bedrooms: 3 queen adirondack style beds, 2 double beds and 1 set of bunkbeds. There are also 3 pull-out (double size) sofa beds. The master bedroom is impressive in size, as well as in location. It has 2 huge walk-in closets, a large sitting area with pull-out couch, and a private bathroom. All bedrooms have alarm clocks, fans, and smoke alarms. There is also a crib and a pack-n-play for the babies! There are 4 full bathrooms, all of which have been updated in the last 5 years. One of the bathrooms has a distinct Adirondack flavor and another has a large walk-in shower. Two of them have tubs and they are all generous in size. The kitchen and dining area easily accommodates large numbers. This gorgeous, large country kitchen was renovated about 5 years ago. It has wide pine floors, and stainless steel appliances, a commercial 5 burner propane stove that includes a simmer burner and 2 ovens. There is a dishwasher, microwave, double Krups carafe coffeepot and 2 refrigerators with icemakers. It comes fully loaded with all the dishes, pots and pans that will be needed. There is also a large 3 burner outdoor grill available for use, that includes a sideburner and spare propane tank. The first floor of this farmhouse is expansive. The living area is wonderful. There is a huge great room that has an entertainment center with a DVD and VCR surround sound system. Also located in this room is the high-speed wireless internet and one of the pull-out couches. There is also a separate, sun-filled living area for those who want to get off by themselves for a spell, which has one of the other pull-out couches. There is a generous laundry room, a full bathroom, and the kitchen and dining area complete this floor. A large rambling porch can be accessed from these rooms, as well as a sunroom with 2 picnic tables. This home is a treasure and all that visit will feel the blessing. Please give it a try!
