About Us: We have lived in Piseco full time for the past 9 years. We completed this year-round house in 2011 and it has its own 10 acre lake, as well as lake rights to Piseco Lake. It sits on a quiet dead end street and is an ideal place for visiting, relaxing and entertaining.

Why we think you will enjoy staying in Piseco Lake: Our home is very welcoming and great for socializing. The doors on either side of the fireplace in the great room, leading to the back deck, offer a beautiful view; as does the wall of windows. There is a wall mounted TV with satellite service above the wood burning fireplace, wireless internet, and an extender for cell service. There is access to snow mobile trails via Piseco Lake and we're only 11 miles from Oak Mountain ski area. There are also snowshoe and cross country ski trails.

“You will be hard pressed to find a roomier, cleaner, more week-equipped stay in the area, or nicer, more accommodating hosts than Doug and Jackie. I dont recall all of what is described about this listing on this site, or in the other reviews. Ill mention some things that I think might be helpful to future renters. The photos are accurate and this place is both lovely and large and very roomy. We were here, my wife and I with our daughter, son in law and 4 and 6 year old granddaughters. There are three bedrooms, each with its own large bathroom as well as a powder room on the main floor. We found the mattresses to be firm and very much to our liking. Plenty of pillows and extra linens and towels. Lots of drawers, closet spaces, hangers. The kitchen is large and better equipped than any such rental weve had in the past. In addition to the usual dishwasher, microwave, gas stove and toaster, there was a drip coffee maker and a Kuerig. Lots of cabinet space. Theres an attached two car garage and you enter through a mud room/laundry room with a sink, cabinets, counters. The two-story living room has a working fireplace and large screen TV, neither of which we used, and opens to a large deck with chairs, table and a gas grill (which we also did not use). The view from the living room/deck is to the pond out back and while descriptions recommend against swimming in it, we also noted that there doesnt seem to be a trail to it and the way down is rather steep as well. Beyond the deck is a fire pit. Across the road and through the hosts property is a short walk down the hill to their lovely, sandy beach thats ideal for children, being soft sand and a shallow entry that goes a long way out into the lake. Pawling Rd dead ends not far beyond the cottage and its less than half a mile in the other direction to Old Piseco Rd. Pawling is very lightly traveled as a result and our girls enjoyed riding their scooters and bikes with trading wheels, accompanied by grandma or grandpa and collecting pine corners, acorns, dandelions and making friends with the neighbors and dog walkers. All in all, we had a lovely, relaxing week and we recommend Camp Stobo highly.”
