“My family and friends have stayed at MRC more times than I can count. That alone, should tell you all you need to know. The house itself is very well maintained and we can see all the improvements the owner makes every year. The owner is available and responsive to renters' needs, as evidenced, when, as a result of a thunder storm, the refrigerator stopped working and the owner personally arranged for a replacement the following day. Situated on a quiet road with great access to the nation's most beautiful body of water, Lake George. Plenty of outdoor space with a large front yard for the kids to run around and play. Down by the water there is a nice boat dock and great swimming area, with plenty of toys, including paddle boards and kayaks. Other amenities: well equipped kitchen, puzzles and games for the kids, and conveniently located very near Snug Harbor Marina.
And for those looking for a little R & R, you can't beat the tremendous view of the lake from the house and yard. The toughest part of our vacation is the day we have to leave. What keeps us going is the memories we made and the anticipation of coming back next year!”

“This property is located on an absolutely stunning section of Lake George! The views from the living room and dining room are amazing! The home is immaculately kept and has everything you need for an extremely comfortable stay. The home also boasts a beautiful boat house and a screened in porch with beautiful outdoor furniture! We stayed here in the winter so we had the luxury of enjoying the wood burning fireplace in the living room! All in all, it was an extreme pleasure to stay and we would absolutely come back!”

“Our stay a Mitten Rock was fabulous! The accommodations were perfect for our two families. The home was clean and comfortable with a large screened-in porch where we gathered every evening. The yard is more than spacious with two picnic tables in the back of the house. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood of Sabbath Day. The home is far removed from the noise of any traffic on Rte. 9. We enjoyed the use of their kayaks and paddle board. Many days we enjoyed just relaxing on the dock after a busy morning of activities. The setting is sublime. We highly recommend Mitten Rock cottage!”

“Mitten Rock Cottage is such an enjoyable & peaceful place to stay. The view from the house / dock were fantastic. The front & backyard were perfect to play with the kids. We enjoyed the screened in porch that overlooked the lake.
The house was very clean... Absolutely adored our stay! Thank you for being wonderful hosts & allowing us to rent your home. We cant wait to come back!”

“The location of this home, the kindness and responsiveness of the owner and the beauty that is provided by the natural wonder that is Lake George are not to be missed. Access to the boat dock is an easy walk across the front lawn where we spent evenings playing bean bags, wiffleball and badminton. Privacy and peace and quiet abound as the property is large and is located next to the beautiful and historic Sabbath Day Point Chapel. We have stayed at this property for four years and we are going back again in 2021. I can not imagine a summer without a visit to Mitten Rock Cottage and I do not intend to try.”

“Excellent experience at Mitten Rock! We enjoyed all aspects of the home and the lake is exceptional! We enjoyed being able to walk in the neighborhood while staying here. The house has plenty of room along with a nice big kitchen for our family to gather for meals! The parking was also a plus as we had several vehicles yet plenty of room. As usual we rented a nice boat which fit inside the dock like it was built for it. The secluded cove made parking the boat easy for a novice like we tend to be. Really no negatives about the entire week.If looking for a place to make memories this home has it all...”
