Happy Acres is situated on the South East side of Schroon Lake, a 5 minute drive from exit 26 of the Northway. It is located on East Shore Drive, which is a paved, but low traffic road, and walker, runner, stroller and biker friendly. The small town of Adirondack is a short 3 mile drive, where you can visit the popular and quaint, Adirondack General Store. There you can enjoy a homestyle breakfast or lunch, browse the Adirondack crafts and gifts, or even pick up a few essential groceries with your newspaper. The town of Schroon Lake is a short 10-15 mile drive north, and offers an antique shop, gift shops, restaurants and bars, a gourmet coffee shop, ice cream and more! If you are looking for more iconic tourist attractions, Lake George is a mere 30-35 minute drive south, where you can find miniature golf, restaurants that offer casual to fine dining, amusement parks, nightlife, and even a tour on the famous Minnehaha.
