About Us: After spending two decades in Elizabethtown, NY we purchased the historic lodge in 2019 and spent 6 months restoring and modernizing the 120 year old property. We wanted to create a place where guests could feel peaceful and secluded while still enjoying modern conveniences and small town hospitality. We strive to be friendly & attentive hosts and are excited to share Tavistock Lodge with you and your guests.

Why we think you will enjoy staying in Elizabethtown: Elizabethtown is easy to get to (10 minutes from (I87) with easy access to Lake Placid, Keene, Whiteface, and Lake Champlain. Hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, and even golf are nearby. Elizabethtown has a downtown area with a small grocery store, restaurants, bars, pharmacy, hospital, golf course, post office, liquor store, bank and more. Tavistock Lodge is in a secluded, wooded, area about a mile outside of Elizabethtown.

Why our property is special: At Tavistock Lodge, you'll enjoy staying in a thoughtfully furnished and artfully decorated classic ADK Lodge that feels both historic and modern. There's plenty of room for your group to spread out around the 2.5 acre property, fire pit, or the nearby trails ... OR hang out together in the spacious kitchen, the impressive 70' x 20' "Great Room", or the adjoining wrap-around porch. The lodge is close to town but there's an abundance of peace and quiet.
