“We had a very comfortable stay at Camp Barefoot Cove over Labor Day weekend. The cabin is updated and clean, kitchen fully stocked with essentials. Location is very peaceful sitting on the canal. We were able to enjoy the Labor Day fireworks from kayaks which was unique! The cabin isnt super large but fit our group of 3 adults and 3 kids well. The owner was very nice and easy to communicate with. Thank you for an enjoyable stay! ”

“We stayed for Thanksgiving weekend and this place was practically perfect! The cabin was clean and the kitchen was well stocked! The owners were quick to respond to any questions! About the only thing that could be better would be a larger down stairs bathroom but I dont see a way to do that without sacrificing bedroom areas! Thanks!!”
Owner's Response

“Had a wonderful stay. The owners have thought of everything. Beautiful and clean with everything you need to prepare meals and just relax with a beautiful view. We caught the tail end of the fall foliage season and the colors were amazing reflected on Old Forge Pond. The location is very private but close to town. Would definitely book again. ”
Owner's Response
“Thank you so much for the kind words. We're pleased that you enjoyed your stay and we hope you think of us for future visits to Old Forge.”

“We stayed at this property almost a full week. The location is great, super close to all restaurants and shops in Old Forge. My kids loved fishing off the dock and caught a good amount of bluegill, small perch, small bass and little catfishes. They also got to use the kayaks a lot in the channel. The cabin felt and looked brand new and we had everything we needed. Nice firepit right off the porch. My father has a hard time walking and he enjoyed his stay, everything easily accessible. We went to the waterpark near by and rented a boat for a day as well. My kids are asking when can we go back to this property. We love everything about Old Forge and Inlet. ”
Owner's Response
“Thank you Lindsay! We are so happy to hear that you and your family enjoyed the camp. It means so much to us! You're welcome back anytime! -The DeLeo family”

“Newly remodeled, clean, comfortable and quiet. Cottage is on the channel in a small cove away from the traffic (never very busy) to the lake. Tied a small bow rider boat to the dock with no problem. Plenty of options for dining - inside, on the porch, or in front of cottage. We mostly ate on the porch to enjoy the weather and kept from tracking dirt into the house. If the group was too big, or the weather was extreme, there is plenty of room to eat inside. No A/C, but we had quite a few very warm days and stayed comfortable at night with the fans. Plenty of shade around the cottage but too many things to do to spend time there. Water park is AWSOME. Fun time for everyone from toddler to grampa (big fan of lazy river). Enjoyed hiking, biking, boating, swimming, shopping, and touring. Owner is very friendly and prompt to respond. We were there during the Olympics, but a lightning storm took out the TV. It was replaced the next day. Bass wouldn't take any top water lures so we had to stick with worms, which netted a young fishermen two doors down a 30 in. pike. Plenty of parking. I only mention it because we have stayed places where you got one or two spaces and it can get complicated. Loved seeing the deer wander through town and we even had to wait a few minutes one evening for a doe and two fawns to cross our driveway. Now, since no place is perfect, I would have enjoyed a larger shower, but it was great to have two full bathrooms; and the swimming off the dock was somewhat mucky (per the kids), but we all had fun with kayaks (provided) and paddleboards. The beach was 2 min. drive (a little too far to walk small children, but you could bike) and there was a park next to the beach with a short walk to ice cream or a diner. Had a great time. Would do it again.”
