About Us: The owners' families have been vacationing here for five generations. It is an idyllic refuge for all of us and we treasure all the Adirondacks have to offer. We are glad to share this special family preserve with you, your family and friends.
Why we think you will enjoy staying in Blue Mountain Lake: Blue Mountain Lake, and the Eckford Chain of three lakes offers incredible swimming, hiking, boating, fishing, and relaxing opportunities. It's also home to the Adirondack Experience, with something for every age in 18 buildings and 121 acres (a world-class institution that you can explore over several days). You're smack in the middle of the Adirondacks, with access to amazing wilderness, lively small towns and, if the kids are desperate, NY's largest water theme park 40 minutes away.
Why our property is special: In the middle of 1600 acres of private land, with miles of state wilderness all around, only 3 other homes on the lake, you will enjoy unparalleled privacy and quiet and "woods and waters" recreation right from your doorstep. The dock offers all-day sun exposure on an undeveloped bay, and you can boat, swim, hike, and explore on land and water without ever getting in the car. Yet, you are still close to popular cultural and recreational centers like the ADKX and Blue Mountain

“My family just concluded our stay at Loon Bay on Eagle Lake. The description of this property is apt-we saw loons every day we were there! The owners were friendly and responsive throughout both the booking process and during our stay, providing helpful details and great recommendations. The property itself is absolutely wonderful. The main house is spacious, well-appointed and accommodated our fairly large group quite easily. Beds were very comfortable and showers were hot with good water pressure. Eagle Lake itself is pristine-perfect for swimming, paddling and fishing. The water trampoline was a big hit as well. I'd recommend this location to anyone considering a stay in the Adirondacks. We had a lovely time. ”
Owner's Response
“Thank you so much for this lovely review. We're so glad you enjoyed it, and that the water trampoline got good use!”

“This property made it possible for the Richard family to comfortably continue our trek to Adirondacks, which started many years ago. There were 15 of us, all family save one. I asked for some feedback regarding Eagle Nest and I think my daughter's says it well..."Eagle nest is an absolutely beautiful property located on the very quiet and peaceful Eagle Lake. It has a beautiful view of Blue Mountain. The house and garage apartment comfortably sleep a large group. We did not feel overcrowded as the rooms are very spacious. The property and house were well maintained and incredibly clean. The house makes it easy to pack light as there were many amenities included. The kitchen is large and has everything one could need to cook. The lake had a nice dock with use of paddle boards and kayaks. Perfect place for kids as well. Would highly recommend!"”
Owner's Response
“Thank you so much to the Richard family, who were wonderful guests and so respectful of the house and property. We're so glad it worked out for you!”

“We have never rented this house, but we HAVE stayed in it as guests for many years. The pictures do not do it justice. Swimming across the private bay is bliss. The house has been kept immaculate by two generations of caring owners. The water trampoline is a favorite for our kids, as is canoeing or kayaking into the nearby channel to fish or watch wildlife. The trails are fantastic, with something for everyone -- you never even need to get into a car to hike, bike ride, or go to the beach at the Hangar! And of course, roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, with a view of Blue Mountain in the sunset... this place is heaven.”
Owner's Response
“Thank you, Chris, for posting this -- looking forward to enjoying many more summers with your family here.”
