The center of town in Schroon Lake is only a few minutes away. Pitkins Rest is right in the center of town. You can … check out Schroon Lake on the internet to see all the local stores.

For you winter buffs, enjoy incredible ice fishing and snowmobiling right out your door.

The Village of Lake George is only 38 miles away. That's what makes this destination so wonderful. It is a quiet get-a-away, but all of the attractions are very close.

Gore Mountain for skiing & snowboarding is only 29 miles away.

In the summer, there is a floating dock with a ladder for swimming that is directly off-shore. Also in the summer, park your own boat right at the included dock. We also provide a Rowboat and two 10' 3" Kayaks for use, which includes life jackets. There is a fire pit on the beach (guests provide their own firewood; no fires anywhere else).

P.S. For the winter, as we are right on the lake, the driveway is very steep, so 4-wheel drive or All-wheel drive vehicles are needed.

Paradox Lake is perfect for weekend getaways! Please check the calendar for available dates. Book now for summer 2024, as only a few weeks are remaining.

The summer rate for 2024 is $5,250 for seven (7) nights (Saturday to Saturday), plus a $250.00 cleaning fee, and the 5% Essex County occupancy tax of $275.00, for a total of $5,775.00. Please contact us for rates at other times.

Cleaning Policy: - Guests are expected to clean up after themselves. We also have a cleaning service prior to each new guest's arrival

- No parking or driving on the front lawn
- Do not engage in illegal activities anywhere on the property, including any illegal downloads
- Do not dump coffee grinds or grease down the sink
- Always use the strainer in the kitchen sink, so no particles go down the drain
- At end of stay, before leaving, turn off all lights, including outside deck lights
- Advise us immediately if there are any leaks or running water, including toilets
- No pets are allowed. There is a $200 surcharge per pet, per day, or any part thereof, that a pet is on or in the premises
- Quiet hours are from 11pm-7am
Linen Policy: The beds have clean sheets, pillow cases, and comforters. There are hand towels for the kitchen and bathrooms, and a bath towel for each guest. You just need to bring beach towels and wash cloths.
Security Deposit Information: $1,000 at time of reservation which will be refunded after departure provided there are no damages.
