“Two of us stayed at Silver Lake Mountainside and greatly appreciated what it has to offer. The 2-bedroom apartment is above a garage and has a 2nd level deck overlooking a private lawn surrounded by trees. We ate half our meals on the deck. During times we were not intruding on their space, the lawn was visited by deer, wild turkeys, and a hawk. The inside of the apartment was spotless. The dishes, counter tops, floors, and bathroom were all super clean. All the built-in kitchen appliances are new and worked well. We used the Keurig coffee machine every morning without a hitch, using well water that tasted good. The bathroom sink and shower both functioned well. Next to the shower is a stacked dryer and washer that did a great job. Each bedroom has a window and a comfortable bed. (If you want to have clothes on hangers, bring your own hangers and a device on which to hang them.) The living room has a nice sofa, as well as an oversized upholstered chair and ottoman that seats two. There is a TV, but we never turned it on. The Wi-Fi was flawless. We also rented one of the pontoon boats. It worked well, and we enjoyed it on beautiful Silver Lake. Don and Cindy are friendly and want you to have a good time -- which we certainly did. ”

“My husband and I are in love with Silver Lake Mountainside! The rental is gorgeous--so clean and comfortable with the best deck for morning coffee and meals. We were treated to sightings of beautiful wildlife including deer, woodpeckers, hawks and sweet chipmunks. The location is perfect--so quiet with the feeling of being remote, yet so close to Whiteface, Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. Silver Lake, itself, is one of the best lakes we've found after coming up to the Adirondacks for almost 2 decades. Fishing was great, swimming was a blast and exploring in the pontoon boat is a must! Above all, Cindy and Don were the most welcoming and warm people who felt like family and you can't put a price on that. I highly recommend this wonderful rental and I can't wait to go back!”

“Stayed at this beautiful Silver Lake property with our two kids for 10 days during 12/24/21 - 1/3/22. The house is brand new and everything is impeccably clean. Cindy and Don answered all our questions and fulfilled all our needs. The Internet was reliable and fast. And we had a heated garage for our car! Liked walking around the property (there is lake access), kids loved to slide on the sleds (provided by the hosts) down the long driveway. Would definitely recommend staying! --Alexander”

“My husband & I spent a week this winter at Silver Lake Mountainside, and I have to say it was perfect. Really a beautiful place inside and out. It was clean, comfortable and inviting, from the beds to the couches to the large bathroom and well stocked kitchen. Our hosts were wonderful, staying in touch as they saw we would be having a snowstorm that would delay our departure from home and offering us an early arrival. Close to so much, we spent a wonderful day on the slopes at Whiteface, a short drive and another in Lake Placed. I can only imagine the summer spending time on beautiful Sliver Lake or on the deck enjoying the peace and quiet and look forward to staying again in warmer weather, although we were very cozy the whole week despite some frigid temps! We have rented many places and really appreciate the level of care taken in making Silver Lake Mountainside so friendly, comfortable and accommodating!”

“We are excited to share a review of the beautiful and wonderful Silver Lake Mountainside camp! We were the first family to enjoy this incredible rental. I've spent many summers on Silver Lake and have never experienced this level of comfort in addition to a long list of quality amenities! A few things worth noting...1. A private deck for us to enjoy our morning and evening tea/coffee. If you have a family and you want to have a little quiet time, this is the spot! If you enjoy birdwatching, you will definitely get an eye full. There is an awesome grill on the deck as well and we were able to cook and eat dinner outside. 2. Air conditioning was an indulgence that we appreciated! Summers are getting hotter at the lake, so we appreciated being able to cool off when we needed it. 3. The beds were COMFORTABLE! Clean, fresh linens and towels. It was literally like staying at a nice hotel! 4. Beautiful garden at the front entrance where we saw lots of pretty butterflies. 5. Awesome appliances and plenty of countertop space to prep food. 6. The bathroom was large and includes a washer and dryer. 7. Incredibly comfortable living room furniture!!! There were many naps in an oversized comfy chair during our stay ; )This place literally has everything! You are steps from the lake!! The owners are LOVELY and easy to communicate with and we can't wait to visit next year! ”
