Fully landscaped and ready for your stay, the owners are augmenting the lakeside with an additional lower level deck with all of the space fully covered from direct rain and elements. Plenty of room to entertain, relax and enjoy. Proximity to hiking, biking, restaurants and fun away from the lake is close by. The lake itself is a jewel, pristine, clear water, fishing, boating, tubing etc await you. The waterfront is FULL sand, making it ideal access for swimming, floating and especially enjoyable to the little visitors. Included in the rental fee are 4 kayaks (2 adult, 2 children), oars, life preservers. 2 boats are available for rental, - a 20 ft pontoon and a 23 ft open bow Larson. The lodge offers everything you need to create a vacation to fondly remember. Boat rentals require a security deposit aside from the premises security. All utensils and pots/ pans provided. Gas grill as well.

Rates

Nightly rate is $800.00 per night for up to 8 people ( incl children ).
Minimum 1 week stay june through Sept . Minimum 4 day boat rentals
We add the cleaning charge of 300.00, 5% occupancy tax and 8% Nys sales tax
Off season stays require minimum 4 nights. We do not allow your motorized boats on site.
Boat rates 2100 per week for the pontoon, 2700 for the Larson or , 350 and 450.00 daily respectively. All gas used must be refilled or 200.00 refuel charge. 2 marinas on lake.

Smoking Policy: Smoking at the beach or inside the lodge is prohibited. We request that if smoking is done, that all butts and refuse are properly and safely discarded.
Cleaning Policy: We do charge a reasonable and customary cleaning fee of 300.00 per stay. However we ask that all trash is bagged and put in containers, dishes are rinsed and loaded in the dishwasher. We will strip all linens and beds, towels etc can be accumulated on the floor in the bath areas.
Linen Policy: Two full sets of linens and towels are provided. We do NOT provide beach, boat or swimming towels. Please be sure to pack these for your stay.
Security Deposit Information: 25% deposit at time of booking for lodging
Balance due 30 days prior to possession, no refunds of deposit within 90 days of stay
Boat rental cost and security also due 30 days prior to stay
1000.00 security deposit required on boat rentals - per boat. (Refunds if lodging is cancelled

About Us: Kelly and John Dobek are the previous owners of the cabins on lake Colby. We renovated and operated this 4 unit site for over 5 years. We are proud of our nearly 5 star rating for all cabins and have a clear idea of what folks need and want to make their stay enjoyable. We especially look to please the little ones! We feel very confident that you will enjoy your stay and recommend our place to your friends and family. Living in the dacks is fulfillment of a lifetime dream for us.

Why we think you will enjoy staying in Upper Saranac Lake: There is so much to see and do in our area. From hiking to climbing, trails and falls, outdoor adventure, biking, swimming, boating, tubing, shopping, dining, enjoying a simple sunset or morning sunrise coffee, a midday nap or kayaking, fishing etc. we think this is one of the most beautiful regions in the country and yes, we are biased in that opinion!

Why our property is special: We look to make sure every stay is enjoyable and unique. Our goal is simply to make you want to come back and visit again. We hope you choose to stay! We have a very clean, sandy and gentle sloped lake entry that allows for a nice swim area for small kids to enjoy. Many other camps have a very rocky terrain on their waterfront.
