“Fern Hollow Lodge is a beautiful place to escape to the Adirondacks! The hosts are outstanding and make the reservation process very simple. Our security deposit was returned quickly after our departure. The home is very well decorated in an Adirondack theme and the spaces are very comfortable. The beds are especially comfortable! The outdoor firepit area is large enough to fit 6 adults comfortably. While there are neighbors, they are at a distance and we never heard any of them. There is a great view of First Lake and access to the lake with kayaks for your use and a safe place to launch them. We will definitely return!”

“Where do I start? Kandis the owner was so helpful and welcoming. The location was great and the home was amazing. Literally everything we could have needed during our stay was provided and available to us. We truly had a wonderful stay and hated to have to leave. Close to everything downtown Old Forge has to offer but just enough outside of town to be quiet and peaceful. I just wish I could bring myself to leave a terrible review so this wonderful place stays a hidden secret haha. ”

“We had a great time at Fern Hollow with our daughter and friends! The location was perfect for us to explore Old Forge, spend a day at Water Safari, have a camp fire, and we took advantage of the included kayaks to go explore the shoreline of First Lake. The house is like new and very clean with great decor. We found the beds to be very comfortable too, which is rare for a lot of vacation rentals! The kitchen and other areas of the house are also some of the best stocked we've seen at a rental. The description of the space is completely accurate and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend it to friends headed to Old Forge. Our 2 year old left a stuffed animal at the house and the owner was kind enough to mail it back to us!! Very pleasant and helpful host and we were happy to give her our business.”

“We had a lovely weekend at Kandis' place. We made a last minute decision to come for a weekend to view the eclipse and were so glad we did. Old Forge was a sweet and welcoming town. We found lots to do within a 10 minute drive--restaurants, shopping, hikes. We didn't do any lake activities because it was too early in the year, but would love to come back sometime in the summer. The house was perfectly laid out for our group of 3 adults and 2 children. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen well stocked for making meals at home. The house was clean and easy to access and Kandis was extremely easy to reach by phone, email, and text. Very highly recommend!”

“We had the best fall weekend at this cozy beautiful cabin!! The owners have done such a wonderful job making it feel like youre right at home with everything you could ever need! They communicated everything so perfectly and even gave many suggestions for fun things to do around the area! Its so lovely being able to see the lake from the living room window and you can access the lake within just a few steps! We loved everything about this house and we will hopefully be back in the future! Go Bills!”

“I highly recommend this house. It has nice views of the lake. The porch has a nice view of the lake. There is also a fire pit It is comfortable and nicely decorated. The house was equipped with everything you may need during your stay. Enjoyed the use of the kayaks. The location is very good. Close to restaurants and town but you also feel away from town. I would definitely stay here again”

“My husband and I stayed at this beautiful new home in February 2023. We were with 2 good friends. The guys were going to snowmobile but unfortunately there was not enough snow. We kept our reservation anyway and enjoyed every second. The home is new. Clean. Comfortable. Has two full bathrooms and everything that you need. The decor is perfect and very retro mountain feel which the pictures truly show. The location is amazing. So close to many great restaraunts. Coffee shops. Bars. Lakes. Trails. Shopping and so much more. We enjoyed walking near the house every morning after coffee and enjoying the lake view and sipping drinks after dinner after a day of being out and about. The owners are amazing, easy to communicate with and ready to help in any way! We would definitely stay here again any time of year! ”
