Our cozy little house provides serenity and peace while enjoying a very private location in Rainbow Lake. We are not directly on the water but provide a private canoe or kayak access on Rainbow Lake less than 1/4 mile away ( We do not provide boats). Miles and miles of bike trails, walking trails, and wildlife on forever wild state lands. Lake Placid, the Olympic Village, is 25 minutes away offering golf courses, Olympic venues, numerous restaurants, loads of shopping, a movie theater, and all …within walking distance of each other. The sights and sounds of the Summer are breathtaking and the Fall foliage is unforgettable. Early morning risers can hear the calls of the native loons on Rainbow Lake from the Hideaway. Full dining room table and chairs, full kitchen with full size appliances , large capacity washer and dryer in full size bathroom with shower and tub. Full private backyard with a fire pit. To s of fire wood to purchase all around house. YOU MAY USE OUR KAYAKS- We have 1-8ft and 1-10ft Sundolphin plastic kayaks. We have a Mens Large and a womens Small life vest. If these are not your size please bring your own. We have basic paddles. These are not part of what you are paying for- these are our own basic set up that we allow guests to use if asked.

Cancellations 2 to 4 weeks prior to stay-I will refund 100% ONLY IF I CAN RE-RENT IT. no exceptions. Cleaning Policy: We do not charge for a cleaning service but we ask you to start linens in washing machine prior to leaving. All garbage put in receptacles outside upon leaving. wash All dishes- we will put away. Clean out fridge and stove the way you found it.
Linen Policy: All linens and blankets supplied- please start washing machine with your bed linens and all your bathroom linens before leaving. Please do not use towels, washcloths, or hand towels to wash makeup off or clean household messes. We will supply make-up removal washcloths, kitchen towels, and paper towels.
Security Deposit Information: 2025 season $200 security deposit will be refunded asap (mail or paypal) as long as nothing is broken, missing, or destroyed.
