Nehasane (Ne-Ha-Sa-Ne) is a year-round winterized camp situated on a secluded property on Cranberry Lake, one of the largest of the ADK lakes with 85% of the shoreline "forever wild". The lake is a favorite of anglers, paddlers and swimmers. If you're a hiker, you'll love the trails in Cranberry Lake and nearby Wanakena.

We invite you to enjoy this retreat in the winter too! Nehasane is a perfect retreat for your writing or art endeavors, or a warm place to relax after a day of skiing or snow …shoeing.

The camp has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, a bright living room overlooking the lake, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a futon in the sun room and a futon in the living room. The large mudroom is a perfect place to take off muddy boots or store your gear. Walk down the stairs from the mudroom and you'll find a big "family room" with a picnic table. Please note that the fireplace in this room is not operative.

There are 2 kayaks and a canoe for your enjoyment. We only allow canoes or kayaks to be tied to the dock. We do not provide life jackets......please be sure to bring yours.

If you're looking to explore the area, check out the Wild Center, as well as the unique shops and restaurants in Tupper Lake.

However you enjoy your day, you'll love coming back to make a fire in the fire pit or relax with a favorite book. If you're lucky, you'll hear loons calling out on the lake.....

2023-2024 Rates

Full week only June-Oct $1600 (Saturday to Saturday) plus 3% mandatory county occupancy tax.

Two night minimum Nov-May $245/night plus 3% mandatory county occupancy tax.
Exception: April 5-10, 2024 $445/night plus 3% mandatory county occupancy tax.

50% due at time of booking and 50% along with security deposit is due 14 days prior to arrival.

Refunds are only available if cancelled 14 days or more prior to arrival.

Cleaning Policy: We do not charge a cleaning fee. We do not employ a cleaning service between guests, so we ask that you leave the home as you found it: please sweep, vacuum, wash and put away dishes, strip beds, empty and wipe down fridge and clean bathrooms. If additional cleaning is needed a fee of 40.00/hr. is charged to your security deposit.
Linen Policy: We provide mattress pads, sheets, pillows, blankets, top quilts, bathroom towels, kitchen linens. Please bring your own beach towels.
Security Deposit Information: Security deposit is $400.00. Your security deposit is returned within 14 days of your departure as long as cleaning is adequate (see above) and there is no damage done to the camp or contents.
