Welcome to our home away from home on Long Lake! We are located on the southern end of Long Lake, and as the name implies, there is a beautiful "long ridge" that overlooks our approximately 350' of shoreline. From the apartment it is a short walk through the woods to stairs to a beautiful dock, large enough to accommodate a circle of friends. The property is about 2 1/2 miles south of the center of Long Lake, a distance from the center of town which offers a quiet serenity that we have grown … to appreciate quite a bit.

This is a one bedroom dwelling above a garage. The access to the living space is up an outdoor set of stairs that are covered. There is a large covered deck from which you enter the apartment.

The bedroom has a queen size bed. If you are traveling with kids, or want to bring someone along for your Long Lake adventure, there are 2 pullouts in the great room: One double size bed, one twin size bed.

This is a modern edition of an old fashioned cabin in the woods, with all the upgrades of a modern build. We have wall to wall wood paneling, beautiful vista views from an open covered deck and a fully equipped kitchen.

About Us: Steve and Donna here, We love the Adirondacks, and are overwhelmed with appreciation for the opportunity to spend time on this amazing piece of land. It is a privilege that neither one of us ever imagined would land in our laps. We are thrilled to be able to share this beautiful spot with others who similarly appreciate the unique beauty and serenity that is the Adirondacks.

Why we think you will enjoy staying in Long Lake: Long Lake is, as noted here, centrally located within the ADKs, and as such is easily accessible within well less than an hour to almost any other place within the Adirondack park. While the access is easy, it is also quieter, and less crowded than some of those areas that you might find yourself wanting to drive to. We love it here!

Why our property is special: This property is on 3 acres of wooded land that had been abandoned for nearly 100 years before we bought it and began our project of stewarding the land and creating space that allows us to stay here. We are very conscious of the need to be respectful of the old forest that wants to remain. There is a natural path along the cliff ridge above the lake that offers incredible views in all kinds of different light, depending on the time of day and what the weather might be doing. It never gets old.
