“Melissa was very welcoming and accommodating. We were able to bring our four-legged children which very few places allowed. The property was great since we were able to do a private hike with our dogs. The house had all the accommodations we needed. Would definitely stay again. The location was ideal too. Not too far from the village, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet.

“Nice place for a week in the Adirondacks with friends. House is good size, easily accommodating our group and dogs. Clean and well appointed. Centrally located on the western side of Lake George, just minutes to Bolton Landing or Lake George Village. Owner is very attentive and helpful.”

“There are not enough superlatives to describe our stay at this wonderful Adirondack retreat! First, Melissa, the owner, is everything you could want in a professional yet super friendly host. From the initial inquiry to our departure we always felt we had a valuable partner in getting a wonderful vacation. When we arrived, she was there to greet us, familiarize us with the property, and see what special needs we might have. Throughout our week she was always available with a helpful hand. The house is warm and cozy and the bedrooms are really nice -- two master bedrooms with en suite full baths in addition to three other bedrooms and two other full baths. AND, plenty of hot water for the showers was a treat! The location is gorgeous -- with a boat house with deck right on the lovely Lake George. There is ample room in the house to spread out and play games or read or just watch TV. The kitchen appears small at first until you start to work in it and you realize that it has everything you need, conveniently located and with plenty of room to prepare whatever meal you want. The dining table is huge and dishes and silverware plentiful. Diamond Point is convenient to Lake George and to Bolton Landing, but also very near other destinations like Lake Luzerne, Saratoga, and points north. Lake House has everything you need for a great time; you bring your food and you're all set. Relaxation or exciting explorations are all possible here. This home deserves way more than 5 stars!!!! Highly recommend.”

“I have secured many vacation rentals in the USA, Europe and South America and have never met an owner who is so communicative and has so much pride in her properties. From my initial inquiry to our checkin- checkout, The owner was terrific to work with. She is always available and answers questions right away. The home itself is beautiful. It is located between lake George and Bolton Landing. The bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. Air conditioning worked very well. The trail up the mountain behind the house was well marked but challenging. Beautiful view at the top. Bring hiking shoes!! During this pandemic time, The home was well cleaned prior to our arrival. The best part was that The owner allowed our dogs to join us. They had a great time too. Thank you for sharing your woodlands home!! I recommend your home to families, and groups of friends!! ”

“My family and I stayed at Woodland House this past August and couldn't have been happier. The house was beautifully set back off of the road with hiking trails behind it. The inside was well maintained and my two children and their spouses along with my husband and I each had our own private bathrooms set right in our bedrooms. There was also a main bathroom included in the living area. The kitchen contained all of the necessary appliances, cooking utensils, dishes, silverware, as well as pots and pans. The house has central air and a laundry room. It is also pet friendly which was wonderful for us as we never leave our Sadie at home. The location is great, being only a five minute drive to Lake George. Melissa, the owner is always available, calling you in advance while you are enroute to the house to find out what time you will be arriving so that she can meet you there. If you have any concerns while staying there she gives you all of her contact info so that you can reach her immediately. We never had any issues as everything worked perfectly. My family and I look forward to our next visit to Woodland House.”

“This was one of the best places I have rented. Its a beautiful cabin on a beautiful piece of land. I went with several friends and our two kittens as this rental is pet-friendly. Everyone including the kittens had a great time. Public access to Lake George is down the road and we enjoyed days of fishing and hiking. It is reasonably priced and the owner is extremely friendly and accommodating. Every amenity was available in the house. Because of our experience we will become lifelong customers and will probably rent this cabin twice a year. We cant wait until the next time we go.”

“We have had the pleasure of renting this home 10 times in the past 5 years, once in the Fall, and once in the Spring. We cannot say enough about how well this property is maintained. The Kitchen comes fully equipped with anything that a master chef could need. It is large enough to fit our group of friends. We travel in 4's for the fall trip, and there are 7 of us for our Spring trip. Each has their own space to retreat, but the common area's are large enough to accommodate us, with room to spare. The surrounding area is quite private, and you'd never know you were on a main road. The owner of the property, Melissa takes obvious pride in her house(s).
We are already looking forward to our annual spring trip, and frankly it's the only thing that is making the impending winter more palatable. ”
