“We hadn't been to the Adirondacks in 5 years. This complex was quite, away from boat traffic & it was very large so you wouldn't even know you had neighbors. Very peaceful & gorgeous view! The owners were more than helpful right from first contact. The cabins were clean, cute & comfortable. The main cabin was so well stocked with gadgets & appliances that you want for nothing. It did rain there a few days but the pavilion was a lifesaver, kept everything & us dry & allowed us to continue to enjoy the outdoors. We will definitely be returning to this complex again! Thank you for making our stay memorable!”

“We have rented this property for the same weekend several years in a row and it is perfect!! We've rented various camps in the Adk for close to 20 years with the same group of friends and once we found this property, we stuck with it. Everything is neat and clean all the time, and there is plenty of space for kids and adults alike. The separate sleeping spots make it easy for families to spend time together but still have privacy. There is plenty to do, and the property is absolutely gorgeous. The owners are quick and timely with all communication and very easy to deal with. I highly recommend renting this property! ”

“The setting is perfect on beautiful White Lake. We have rented here two years in a row. There's plenty to do with row boats and kayaks right on shore. There are 2 firepits and the pavilion is a perfect place to eat, play shuffleboard or just hang out. Old Forge is just a short drive away and this is a nice break from the traffic there. ”

“We have vacationed at Camp Happy Ours for the past 2 summers. Aside from linens and towels, everything you should need is there. The property is super spacious and the 3 cabins provide ample room and privacy for large groups. The beds are not super comfortable, but foam mattress pads help with that. The cabins are not as luxurious as others, but for us that just adds to the Adirondack experience. When we vacation in the Adirondacks in the summer, we are focused on being outside as much as possible. That being said, the pavilion is an added bonus, especially in inclement weather. The Spilletts's are great and we will continue to rent from them when our entire family vacations together (13 of us all together). In short, you really can't beat all that you get in renting this property for the price you pay. It's truly a gem!”

“What a wonderful place to gather. So much room to roam and plenty of seating all around the property. We definately made use of all of the buildings but especially the pavillion. Dont bring any kitchen item. They are fully stocked. Having the fridge outside was great. The waterfront is beautiful and there were canoes and kayaks for all. I need to get on the ball and book for next year! Thanks so much.”

“Camp Happy Ours is a beautiful and perfectly relaxing place to stay. It's easy to get to and so private! The lake is beautiful and with all of the water front areas available, is so inviting and fun. The 3 buildings and covered patio allow for penty of room for a group even on rainy days. The fire pit gets lots of use when we are there! I highly recommend a stay at this White Lake camp.”

“We rented the entire complex (main cabin, boat house and guest cabin) there were 14 of us all together. This place had everything we needed for camping in the Adirondacks. We were impressed with all the little things it offered like a fully equiped kitchen with all the little gadgets you need to cook, even odd and end spices you might have forgotten. Also has a shed that houses all the paddles for boats which also has tons of life vests in all sizes, floaty tubes, ect. We didnt realize when renting this but the pavilion outside has these custom made huge picnic tables that are really nice and there is a refrigerator under there for keeping extra food and drinks in it. we used that soo much. We kayaked for the first time here as they provide 3 kayaks and it was awesome!! The fishing in white lake is awesome as well catching oodles of bass, perch and trout. HINT: the hot spots are to the right of the boy scout camp and the right of the big island. Swimming is ok but i had forgotten how mucky lake water can be and BRING WATER SHOES because its very rocky on the bottom. There is also a great bull frog habitat there with tons of huge frogs and tad poles. We didnt see not one snake or bear during our stay. The tv's dont get any reception but your camping and supposed to be outside anyways. Overall we were very happy with the place. Now some of the cons: this place is closer to the main road than we thought and could hear traffic zooming by all day, and when pulling out of the driveway be careful because its right on a curve in the road. No air conditioning , Thats it. The frig in main cabin broke on the first day and the owner had it replaced with a brand new one with one phone call. Also the owner returned our deposit very fast. Would def rent this again. ”

“Camp Happy Ours is ideally located on a cove off the main lake, making it perfect for kayaking , fishing & swimming ,especially for the younger children or grandchildren. With an authentic log cabin ,the kitchen is small , another cabin & boat house , it gives family units room to spread out. There were 11 in our party & we had room to spare. The pavilion with refrigerator , tables ,fire pit , shuffleboard & lights makes for great outdoor living. Having the kayaks , canoe , paddle boats, row boats , etc provided , saved time & money. I would definately recommend this place, if there is a problem ,the caretaker is easy to get ahold of. You will love hearing the Bull Frogs. Sincerely, Pete & Charlene Rutt Family ”

“We live only 30 mins away from this location and are accustom to the wonderful views and pleasures of nature that this area provides, but this camp and the White Lake area falls at the top of our list of favorite places to visit! We had a relatively small group which made this even more enjoyable. We had 2-3 small children who were with us throughout the week and I was pleasantly surprised by the number of kids indoor and outdoor toys that were at the camp! The swimming is fantastic, the shallow water close to the camp was very comfortable and kid-friendly. The fishing was great, our kids had a lot of fun catching and throwing them back in! We loved the Frog Habitat, and especially the large bull frog that lives near the bridge. The covered pavilion proved to be crucial to our first few days that were rainy, but it was also great the last few days when it was really sunny and there was always a nice breeze up by the camp! The outdoor refrigerator was great for beverages. Inside, the kitchen is literally FULLY stocked all the way from cheese graters to garlic presses to crock pots to coffee makers! Next time we go, I know I can pack less and enjoy more! I could go on and on and on about all the things we loved about Camp Happy Ours, but I will wrap it up. If you are looking for a comfortable get away for your family or a group of friends you will not be disappointed!”

“This is our fourth year renting here and we plan on renting for many years to come! All 15 of us have more then enough space to relax and not be on top of each other. The Owners are wonderful and so nice to rent from. Always so clean and nicely maintained. The kids love jumping off the docks and taking the boats out. The Pavilion is amazing, we never ate inside all weekend! What a great place for a large family gathering! ”

“The property was beautiful!!! Wonderful to have breakfast by the lake on the screened in porch when the weather was chilly. A great place for a girls weekend away with lots of photo opportunities. Plenty of space and very open in the main room. Would definitely rent again!”

“Can't say enough about this place. We had a large group of us (15), and there was plenty of room for everyone. Very private. Loved the use of the kayaks, shuffleboard, campfire pit by water and by pavilion, floating dock, outside fridge for the beverages, etc. Weather was great, stayed there Labor Day Weekend. Swimming was great. Short distance to the White Lake Inn, Old Forge, Water Park, etc. Will definitely be back!”

“Had a great time at Camp Happy Ours! Went with a group of about 10 in mid September and had a blast. The camp has enough to keep you occupied for the week with the large waterfront, kayaks, and large pavilion with fire places up towards the cabin and one on the island. We did go into old forge a few times and it wasnt too far at all, maybe 10 mins. If you want to get out for a few drinks theres a pretty good bar only about a half mile from the camp. Over all I would recommend this to anyone, I cant wait to go back.”
