“The Sci Sci Cabin was the perfect relaxing vacation!! What a great location, right on the Moose River. We could keep our canoe right next to the cabin and launch it right off the dock. The cabin is within walking distance to Old Forge stores, mini golf @ Nutty Putty and of course ice cream places. If you like to bike, the TOBIE Trail is very close by to pick up. Hiking is close too; Rocky, Black Bear and Bald Mountains all a short drive away. The cabin was so peaceful and quiet. My husband and I enjoyed every minute there and hope to return. The place is meticulously clean and very well stocked with anything you might need. There is Wi-Fi and cable tv also at the cabin. The owners were so welcoming to us when we arrived and were on-site the first weekend and available if we had any questions or problems. They are delightful hosts who really take pride not only in their rental properties but also they care about their renters.”

“First time for the two of us to stay in a cabin. This was a true Adirondack Experience. Everything on the owners web site about this cabin is accurate. The cabin was the real thing. Fully furnished and we loved the screened in front porch right by the river. It was off of the main highway, but within walking distance of town. You could drive by and not see it. We loved it. The owner was very easy and nice to talk with. Absolutely loved it all and we highly recommend this cabin and location. ”

“This cabin was a wonderful, peaceful little get-away for 2!! The setting is serene and almost unbelievable, with deer wandering through, kayakers passing by, and birds in the trees. So close to town you can walk to dinner, ice cream, shops and more, yet tucked away on a quiet little street away from all the chaos that can sometimes be Old Forge in the summer. The gas fireplace was so cozy, and the cabin supplies absolutely everything you may need!! Highly recommended.”

“My husband and I went to Old Forge to meet family for the week of 4th of July. We were looking for a small place that the two of us could enjoy but still be close to town to meet relatives. This cabin was perfect. It provided us with a romantic and peaceful place to stay. The cabin had everything we needed and many things that were a nice additional such as wine glasses, candles, and a gas fireplace. We were able to sit on the porch morning and evening to enjoy the river and watch the canoeists go by. The best part was being so close to town. We were one mile from everything, restaurants, canoeing, shopping and the fireworks. We did not have to worry about trying to park on the crowded Main Street and there were camp chairs available that we could take to sit on for the fireworks. The only thing we had trouble with was opening some of the windows to get maximum fresh air but there was still a good cross breeze. We will definitely like to stay at this cabin again. ”

“Great little cabin. Very cozy and relaxing weekend spent on the river. Everything within walking distance. The cabin was very tastefully decorated and the owners made you fill right at home. I do plan on returning .”

“My husband and I stayed here 2 nights for our anniversary. It was SO cozy and perfect for a little fall getaway. Because of my husband's dietary needs, we did have to cook most of our meals and the small kitchen in this cabin was stocked nicely, making this possible. We also walked to a little coffee shop just up a couple of blocks (GREAT food - I think the name is Ozzies) and enjoyed shopping along the main road. We also drove just a few minutes up the road one morning and hiked Bald Mountain - gorgeous scenery and sights! So peaceful here. We enjoyed campfires at night right outside the cabin and inside there is a gas fireplace that keeps the cabin nice and warm. What a beautiful place to stay and enjoy nature. There are plenty of places to eat close by. We are definitely hoping to return. ”

“We stayed in the cabin the first week of August. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean, neat and had everything we needed. The setting on the banks of the Moose River is delightful, so quiet and serene. The deer grazing just outside our window was a welcome sight, and mornings on the river with the mist rising from the water was almost magical. We used the outside fire pit and chairs and looked at the stars several nights. You can walk to grocery, shopping, restaurants and more very easily. Plenty of off-street parking. We would love to come back! Thank you for your gracious hospitality!!”

“Cabin cute and cozy. Had everything we were looking for, I.e. dishes, t.v, etc.Wanted a quiet place away from the heat of Florida. This cabin was clean and in a good location to take advantage of sights and activities. Right on the river. Owner very responsive/assessable. ”

“We had a really nice time at your cabin, it was a lovely place to stay and plenty of room for just the two of us, very cozy and relaxing and beautifully furnished. We loved being able to walk to everything, movies, restaurants, groceries etc., but still felt like we were away from it all.
We enjoyed a wonderful kayak trip on the river, a few hikes, fishing, biking, and on Friday morning we got up early and watched the Canoers leave the town dock for their annual canoe race, it was misty and very exciting to watch with the crowd.
We will be back!”

“This was a wonderful place to spend time in Old Forge. It was so peaceful and quiet here. It was so very cozy right from the start. It is about 1 block from the shopping area where there is places to eat, a large grocery store, gift shops,and a movie theater. there are lots of places to visit in and around the area to please all ages. As for the cabin, we could not have wanted any thing more. It was beautifully decorated with the rustic Adirondack theme. It was very clean and well equipped with everything any one would need for a week or two. The only problem we had was that I had was I am handicapped and it was a little difficult to go down to the cabin. You park in a space up at the top and walk down however there are more cabins down there and we were allowed to drive down to unload our suitcases and groceries and what ever we needed to do while we were there.”

“I agree with the others, this cabin is soooo cozy and you really feel like you can completely relax here.the place has a real woodsy feel and you really feel like you have your own private little place...but at the same time it is about a three minute walk to the town so you are close to everything! (the diner, coffee house, etc, etc) It was really the perfect place to stay for two people for an affordable rate. The owner of the place has her own artwork on the walls which added so much character to the placefelt at home from the first night we arrived. Would definitely recommend this place!”

“This cabin has become my favorite summer destination! We've rented this cabin for a few years now & all winter long we look forward to going.This is the coziest, rustic Adirondack cabin. The open ceiling has beautiful windows & a skylight that look at the towering pines. My favorite spot on the propety is where the Adriondack chairs overlook the Moose River. Sitting in one of those Adirondack chairs with a morning cup of coffee is one of the most peaceful & enjoyable settings I have ever experienced. One of our favorite features of the cottage is its proximity to town. There are many days we can just walk to town for everything we may need. The town is a two minute walk away. We live in a driving city so it's enjoyable to walk to the grocery store, shops, restaurants & entertainment in town. We are already looking forward to our stay next summer!”

“What a delightful property! We loved the cabin- clean, inviting, and very close to town. The screened in porch was perfect for early morning breakfasts and sundown happy hour (it felt like you were in the forest with the birds, trees, river and wildlife- we even saw a black bear in the river)! I would highly recommend this cabin/location for anyone who wants to enjoy nature in an adorable cabin- just the right size for two people, but still be within walking distance to some great pizza, ice cream and coffee! ”
