“My wife and I just spent a wonderful week at this property. Everything we could possibly need was available for us. The price was such a great value for the location and size of the rental.
It was great to wake up and have coffee on our patio while looking at the sparkling water. We spent early evenings on the new deck with our duck buddy.
Thank you Ed and Margaret for such a nice experience. We can't wait to come back again next year”

“Several times over the past years I have tried to rent one of these units to be in the area for a family get together and up until this year, they were already rented. This year, we were lucky and our persistence certainly paid off!! The property is just as advertised except that the pictures cannot capture the beauty of the spot. The unit was perfect for us - clean and had everything we needed. The landscaping was outstanding and the view to die for. My husband loves to fish, so he was in his glory. We love the town of Bolton Landing, which is very close. We happened to be there Memorial Day and were lucky enough to be sitting at a window of a local breakfast restaurant with a perfect view of the parade. We are really looking forward to returning.............”

“My husband and I stayed in Unit 1 July 1-7 2017. While the setting and gardens are beautiful we were disappointed with our stay because of safety concerns. The description of unit 1 makes no mention of the very steep gravel path to the entrance. Also the outside entryway was very uneven like it had heaved from tree roots or winter weather, creating a very dangerous situation. Cinder blocks were placed as steps to get to the patio. My husband recently had a hip replacement and every day I was fearful he might fall. The owners really need to address these areas. While the unit is cozy, I can't tell you how many large spiders my husband killed in the unit. I didn't mind the daddy long legs but the others were huge! We have been going to Lake George for 40 years and this was a first for us. It would have been a nice touch for the owner Margaret to come down to the unit with us to show us around. She was pleasant and said just call if we needed anything. We didn't as our concerns were not something which could have been addressed. This property has the potential to be spectacular. ”

“This post was brought to our attention by a guest who viewed the site NO GIANT SPIDERS !!! We have had an exterminator since July 2017 when a guest told us about them. The "spiders" are actually "camel crickets" NOT spiders and harmless. We have had the house treated monthly as soon as it was brought to our attention NO ONE has seen them since. Our Florida Guest, Skip, who spent 2 months there for 12 years, in the Unit with the Patio had a hip replacement didn't have any trouble with the slop and loves the same unit. We and our family enjoy the Home also.. Many of our Guests have returned every year for the last 30 years. Ed & Margaret Williams”

“Hello Margaret,I just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at your home last week. The weather was beautiful and your property is very quiet and peaceful, and the views are spectacular. I caught more than 50 fish from your boathouse dock an assortment of bluegills, rock bass, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and pike (I practice CPR Catch, Photograph and Release). Regards, John L.”

“The property is just as advertised. Spacious, clean and great location with beautiful garden/grounds and dock! Very relaxing atmosphere and great dock with fantastic views! Ed and Margaret were very responsive and helpful as we organized and stayed at the property. It was nice to meet them and some of their family during our stay. We had a blast and would love to return!”

“I highly recommend this rental, being exactly as advertised. My wife and I have stayed there twice in unit 2. The location is indeed one of the best on Lake George--both beautiful and convenient. The owners are very nice. The landscaping is amazing and the house and view of the lake are superb. The apartments are on the side of a very large house on the lake that used to be an inn. ”

“We had a wonderful stay. The accommodations were excellent as well as the location. The dock and sitting area were fantastic. Being in the heart of Bolton Landing we were within walking distance of shops and restaurants but far enough away for privacy and peacefulness. We will definitely return. ”

“We have had the pleasure of vacationing here for the last 10 years. The accommodations are perfect, the lake view is breathtaking, the hospitality of the Williams' is over the top, and it is the perfect spot to completely unwind and relax. The lake in Bolton Landing is perfect for boating, fishing, paddle boarding and all water sports. My husband and boys have caught amazing large mouth bass and perch, which we have had mounted. If you have a boat or plan to rent a boat, this is the place to stay. I travel often for my job, but look forward to this drive and vacation even more every year. Thank you, Margaret and Ed. You know, we will be back..... ”

“We had an amazing week at your rental on Lake George. The accommodations were perfect for swimming, kayaking and boating on the lake. It was so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We watched the sun set and moon rise each night from the dock. It was beautiful!
We had a great time and can't wait to be back on the lake.

“We rented one of two apartments available in this location, choosing the fireplace unit. This was our second trip and we had a great time! The property is directly on Lake George, with a dock from which we were able to swim, sail, and simply sit and watch the day's light fade away. Bolton Landing (a short walk down the road) is much quieter than Lake George Village, but still offers a number of fine restaurants and amenities. We will visit again and recommend it highly.”

“Myself, husband and two teenage sons enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. We especially loved the privacy of the swimming area complete with diving board. Bolton is a great location and we were able to quickly get to many of the outdoor activities that we were interested in.
We happened to be at the house during an EXTREME heat wave... for that reason, it was a little hot for two nights ... perhaps including more floor fans or perhaps installing ceiling fans would help circulate the air. As I said, it was an EXTREME heatwave for two nights while we were there...the rest of the week we were perfectly comfortable ! No fan necessary !
I thought having written instructions/information on the refrigerator was very helpful. May I suggest including instructions on use of the following: microwave ; VCR hook up ; password for obtaining internet access.. But then again who really wants to be able to read work emails while on vacation ; )
These little things would only enhance an already PERFECT stay at an appropriately priced, wonderfully tranquil paradise setting on our favorite lake !

“This was our first experience using ADK By Owner, and it all went smoothely. We had an opportunity to talk to the owner before making our reservation. The on-line pictures and information is an accurate reflection of the unit and property, which is a former colonial revival style inn.
This ground floor unit is a large one bedroom apartment with a deck overlooking Lake George. The bedroom is oversized and easily accommodates the king-size bed. The combined kitchen & living room has a couch, coffee table and two upholstered chairs and two twin beds. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, oven/range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and dishwasher. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, glasses, bowls and pans. There is a breakfast counter, but the place to eat meals in summer is the deck which has a round patio table with 4 chairs. The bathroom is a little cramped; it has plenty of towel racks and hooks, but could use a shelf for toiletries.
We found the unit very clean and the furnishings in very good condition.
The property is nicely landscaped with mature plantings and stone retaining walls which are well maintained. The dock has covered slips for two boats and dock space for several more boats. The dock has nice ADK chairs for lounging during the day at sunset.
Boltan Landing is a great location for vacationing on Lake George. At the northern edge of the village center, there is a Grand Union grocery store (less than a 1/2 mile away from the Rental Property). There are antique shops, an outdoor/kayak sports shop, hardware store, library, garden shop, clothing stores and several restaurants & pubs. Black Bass Antiques has an incredible inventory of vintage fishing equipment and outboard motors.
While you could spend your entire vacation in Boltan Landing. Just 10 miles away is the honky tonk, mini golf extravaganzas and numerous T-shirt shops of the Village of Lake George.
If you don't have your own power boat, or prefer not to rent one from one of the nearby marinas, you should tour the lake on one of the large boats that launch from the Village of Lake George. The boat tour that covers the 32 mile length of Lake George makes stops in Bolton Landing to pick-up and drop-off passengers.
South of the Village of Lake George is Queensbury where there are many outlet stores along Route 9, including Brooks Brothers, Ralph Lauren, Orvis, Eddie Bauer, Merrell shoes.......
Antique stores are also found in Warrensburg, Queensbury and Glen Falls.
We will likely make reservations again at this property in the future. On my next visit to Bolton Landing, I plan to do some fishing.”
