This spacious three bedroom is the perfect spot for summer or winter getaway. The fully equipped kitchen opens to the great room, complete with a fireplace and wall of windows opening to a large deck that faces the water. The family room offers a JBL Bluetooth Speaker, TV, and a large table for family games. Four sleeping areas, first floor bedroom with one queen, a loft with two twins, upstairs bedroom with one queen, lower level walkout to lake with two queen beds. Full size washer/dryer with all linens provided.
Summertime offers endless boating opportunities, fishing, hiking, biking, golfing, and (let's not forget) just relaxing. The lodge is equipped with a canoe and two kayaks to take right from the dock (no motor boats or jet skis allowed on the pond). The fishing and swimming is great. Many a S'more has been enjoyed by the fire pit with good friends and campfire stories just after sunset.

Paddling - Easily accessed is the St. Regis Wilderness Canoe Area

Boating - A State Boat Launch is just minutes away and allows access for motorized boats to Upper Saranac Lake .
Lake Placid (lakeplacid.com), 20 miles away, offers restaurants, shops, and exhibits, International and Olympic Sporting Events are held all year long. The Olympic Center offers skating shows, hockey games, ski jumping events, etc. Annual events include the Ironman and the Lake Placid Horse Show.

“Our family really loved our stay at Leaning Birch Lodge. We found it to be perfect for us. We cooked most of our meals there and appreciated the bbq and fire pit as options for enjoying the lovely property. Having canoes and life jackets on site provided us with great opportunities to explore with our kids. We even portaged over to the next lake to check out the surrounding area where we discovered beautiful picnic and swimming spots. The proximity to Lake Placid was our main reason for choosing this location and we did go there for day trips. It would have been easy to spend an extra week just to chill at the lodge. The house offered even more than we expected and it was nicely cleaned and supplied. We saw loons and chipmunks and wood peckers and one night a deer visited us while we were at the campfire. The beds and pillows were comfy and the temperature inside the house was perfect even though we were there during a hot spell. We would highly recommend this property to others, just bring a lot of bottled water, I was surprised at how much we went through. ”

“My family and I stayed here for a week in July-- this is a very quiet location with friendly neighbors. The house is very clean and spacious with lots of room to spread out. One bedroom on first floor, twin beds in loft, bedroom upstairs and two twin beds in the walkout basement. Full washer and dryer and well stocked kitchen. The lake is quiet and the house include use of canoes, kayaks and a rowboat. Bring your own water-- the water in the house is filtered but not treated so probably not safe for drinking.”

“We had a very nice family holiday with our adult children and their spouses at this property in the Saranac Lake area. Directly on a fairly large pond that connected to other bodies of water via short portage....so plenty of canoe and fishing possibilities. The cottage accomodated 6 adults and 2 dog's nicely with room to spare. Clean and comfortable. We will definitely return for a future stay. ”
