“L'il Waukesha Cabin on Little Wolf Pond is a gem. The photos on the website are nice, but the cabin is nicer yet. The property is conveniently located near Tupper Lake and offers ample opportunities for recreation, dining, shopping and exploring. We walked to Raquette River Brewing one night for refreshments. We hiked Coney Mountain and Goodman Mountain to complete our Tupper Lake Triad. We had been to the Wild Center on a previous trip, so we went to the Adirondack Experience Museum in Blue Mountain Lake. It was a scenic drive and a wonderful experience. The night sky is amazing - so many stars! The cabin is extremely clean and cozy and kept us comfortable on the cool nights. Little Wolf Pond was great for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. Being right on the water made it easy for us to enjoy it to the fullest, especially since we had some rainy weather. We could get back to the cabin when the weather looked threatening The owner is a pleasure to deal with. He does a wonderful job of accommodating requests and even welcomes suggestions for improvement. We would have appreciated two more kayaks, but we knew there were only 2 onsite and used the canoe. ”

“My husband and I stayed in this cabin for a little get away for my Husband's birthday. It was just perfect! We had such a nice time and the cabin is spotless and in such a great location to town. We will be back for sure. The owner was great to deal with. This is probably our favorite cabin so far that we have rented. ”

“This is an outstanding lakefront home. Although it's situated on Little Wolf "Pond" don't presume that this is a small cabin in front of a small body of water. On the contrary, the "pond" is actually the size of lake and, frankly, I'm unsure why it's even called a pond. The home, itself, is spacious and beautiful. It is well situated to provide privacy and offers a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Even though the weather was not exceptional during our stay, we had a lovely time lounging in the home and the screened in porch. The few days the weather was good, we were able to take the boat on the lake to fish, and hike both Mt. Arab and Coney Mountain, which are both a short drive from the house. Raquette River Brewery is right up the road and was a fun stop for lunch and a pint. The village of Tupper Lake is also just minutes away and has the most adorable shops. This was the perfect home and had more than enough room for my boyfriend, me, and our two dogs. The owners were so courteous and prompt to respond to our questions. I'm also lucky enough to say that this is the place where I got engaged! My boyfriend proposed right on the dock, under the stars. Truly a wonderful setting for a getaway! Certainly, this home will always be special to me and I'm sure that it will offer the same charm, romance, fun, peace, and relaxation to you!”

“The camp is a really wonderful spot on Little Wolf Pond, a small lake north of Tupper Lake. The camp itself is very well maintained and the grounds are nice and flat. The water out front is very sandy and shallow which is great for kids. The three bedrooms were great for the five of us and there are plenty of Adirondack chairs outside. The only two critiques I would offer are that I wish it was a one-week rental from a Saturday to a Saturday or Sunday to Sunday instead of from a Sunday to a Saturday... You never really get to experience the full weekend. My second critique would be that the water access at the camp is not ideal for little kids, say under the age of 2. However there is a really great beach a very short walk from the camp so it's not as though little kids couldn't have fun in the water and the sand there! Overall, the pricing and the setting were really great and we definitely plan to return there in the future! ”

“I rented this cabin in February 2015. Everything about it exceeded my expectations. It is a beautiful property in very well maintained condition. It's proximity to the water and a nearby beach are clear assets. My dog showed no alert to existing pet smells, neither did we. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. Enjoy!!!”

“We had a wonderfully relaxing time. The grand kids loved the canoe and fishing. Plenty of Adirondack chairs for sitting around the fire or relaxing by the water. We got to enjoy the loons a few mornings pretty close to cottage. I know it was the experience we wanted the grandkids to have and I'm sure they will remember always as we will. The cottage is very clean a nicely decorated. The kids couldn't stop talking about the bear toilet role holder! Recommended highly.”

“We loved our week long stay at this cabin (really a year round home). It has all the amenities you could want: dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, small washer and dryer and two full baths (one with a shower, the other with a full tub/shower combo). And with town just a couple miles away it is easy to pick up anything you need. The house is clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The screened in porch and lake front was of course why we were really there and they did not disappoint. We ate every meal on the porch. Water right off the the retaining wall was a little over a foot deep with a sandy bottom and stayed shallow for quite a ways out. We used the owners' canoe and row boat often on this small, quiet lake. Then napped in the hammock. Off property we were impressed with the Wild Center in town (one word: otters), hiking Mt Arab (10 min drive), and taking a float plane ride on Long Lake. It was the perfect place to be on vacation with our 2 and 4 year olds and two dogs.”

“This cabin was perfect for a week in the Adirondacks. The house is immaculate and was well maintained. It was the perfect size for two couples and our three kids aged 7-9. The amenities were ample and the view over the lake very pleasant. The water is shallow enough for children and Little Wolf Beach is an easy walk. We enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, and hanging out by the fire pit at night. Local nature opportunities include The Wild Center, hiking and river kayaking. The public observatory is within walking distance, but we enjoyed the star-gazing right from the cabin! ”

“Stayed for a week at Lil Waukesha. Lovely home with everything you could want. It's a nice quiet lake and we enjoyed the canoe. We stayed with our 2 kids (8 & 11). The public beach was a 3 minute walk along a quiet road and the kids would go there a lot. Owners were very nice and were accessible to answer all our questions. House was spotless when we got there and had everything they advertised. Fourth of July fireworks on Little Wolf lake rivaled those of any larger city. They were awesome to watch. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.”

“When I noticed that this site now allows reviews, I had to write about our stay! Our family rented Lil' Waukesha for a week, two summers in a row. First, the house was absolutely spotless! I felt relaxed the minute we walked in. The owners were friendly and responsive. A big selling point for us was the pond, which looked like a full-size lake, but which was shallow enough for our five-year-old to walk quite far into the water. The location was central to many of the towns that we wanted to visit. And, of course, many hiking trails. We had neighbors, but outside of some late night chatter on their porch, we had no complaints. There is a public beach around the bend. We recommend this property without hesitation!”
