Experience the wonders of the Adirondacks at "The Woods". We are a TRUE Lake Front property on beautiful Lake Adirondack. Simply walk down our lawn and step into the sand which is a unique and convenient feature of our camp. For fun try one of the row boats, kayak, or canoe (with supervision, care and life vests of course)! Fishing and exploring are a favorite pastime as is fun around the lakeside bonfire. Make smores, laugh, and simply enjoy each others company. In any season, gaze out at th …e continuous wonders of the lake and nature with the completely UNOBSTRUCTED LAKE VIEW from INSIDE and OUT! "The Woods" is centrally located so even though you could spend your whole vacation just at Camp you may want to explore nearby activities such as white water rafting, golfing, biking, antiquing,& hiking. In the fall there is leaf-peeping and in winter you are just 15 minutes to Gore Mountain for fantastic skiing & snow boarding! In winter you can even sled onsite and snowmobile right from the house! (Sleds & snowmobiles are not provided but feel free to bring your own)
"The Woods" is located in the Hamlet of Indian Lake on a no outlet street adjacent to the town center. Camp is spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. There is an abundant selection of games and books plus Fios internet. There is a smart tv to access your favorite channels. Sleep well in the four spacious bedrooms. Upstairs is bedroom one, having 1 king plus another twin mattress ideal for a child, and bedroom two and three, each having 1 queen bed. There are window air conditioners in each of the upstairs bedrooms. Bedroom four is located downstairs and has 2 twin beds (this bedroom is smaller but twins can be pushed together to make a king). There is also a basic full pull out sofa in the living room. Prepare your favorite meals in the well equipped kitchen. We enjoy cooking so there is a wide variety pans, casserole dishes, small appliances etc... Upstairs is a full bath with soaking tub, downstairs is another full bath with a shower. The laundry room is downstairs also. (linens and decor may change from time to time as needed). Enjoy sipping coffee & tea in the morning on the spacious lakeside deck and in the evening enjoy cocktails as you relax and tend the bbq or just sit and take in the fresh mountain air with the sounds of nature to serenade you. There is also a small deck on the street side of the house offering a quiet spot to take in a good book. Whether you spend your time at camp or exploring the area, the possibilities for fun and relaxation are endless!

Sheets, bath, and hand towels are NOT provided and are to be brought by guests. Paper & consumable products such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, detergent, foil, plastic wrap, trash bags (clear are required), napkins, etc. are NOT supplied and are to be brought by guests.

Meet the Owner(s)

About Us: As children, the Lockwood and Guillod families enjoyed the natural world of the Adirondacks. Summers were spent exploring the woods, lakes, & streams. Winters we played in the snow and enjoyed crackling fires, comfort foods, & cozy times playing board games & laughing. No wonder as adults we were drawn back to the peace and quiet that the Adirondacks offer.

Why we think you will enjoy staying in Indian Lake: We carefully chose our home for the quiet, peaceful, & central location of Indian Lake in the Adirondack Park. Easily explore a grand selection of hiking trails, waterfalls, & lakes. Try white water rafting or a seaplane ride. Visit The Adirondack Experience or The Wild Center. Try Buttermilk Falls in the summer and Gore Mountain in the winter. Year-round have fun taking day trips to Tupper Lake, Lake George, & Lake Placid. Do as little or as much as you want in this fantastic location!

Why our property is special: We are fortunate to enjoy easy lake access from our lawn as well as UNOBSTRUCTED views of the lake from INSIDE & OUT! No roads to cross or rocky terrain to traverse to enjoy all the lake has to offer. Simply walk down our lawn, step right into the sand & wade out into the lake. In winter, you can snowmobile down the lawn & right onto the lake which is connected to the extensive Adirondack snowmobile trail system leading to restaurants, bars, & lots of fun! Relax or adventure, it's your choice!
