Designed and constructed in 2008, this is a year-round log cabin is right on pristine 600-acre Osgood Pond in the St. Regis Canoe Area, 10 miles north of Saranac Lake.
NONAME is the newest home halfway down White Pine Road which is a two mile off shoot of Rt 86. At the end of the Road is White Pine Camp which was the summer White house in 1929. The house has upscale Adirondack style furniture that is very comfortable. Complete with deep Jacuzzi, a handcrafted raised outdoor shower off the living room and a modern kitchen with all gadgets and a gas stove.
The kitchen is open with grey soap stone counter tops, and the dining and living areas face the 600-acre pond and wrap around deck with new Weber grill and lots of seating. A stunning river rock fireplace complements the downstairs. Off the living room by a short hallway there is a lovely bath and shower and two spacious bedrooms; one with log bunk bed and matching double bed, and the other with a log framed queen. Off the kitchen is a gorgeous screened in porch with ample seating and a view which faces the trees and sunset over Osgood Pond. On the second floor is the master bedroom with a queen mattress you don't want to leave. Across from the bed is a built-in gorgeous gas fireplace. A few steps away from the queen bed is luxury bath with an adjacent stall shower. Adjoining the bathroom wall is a rustic workspace of a pine slab desk floating from the wall and a carved wooden stool. Off the master bedroom, separated by beautiful glass and wood framed French doors, is the loft with a comfy futon, double mattress handmade of pine logs, rocking chair and cable TV. The loft is above the living area and looks out to the Pond.
The house furnishings are playful with plenty of cool taxidermy. You will meet George a Caribou, Woodsy a black/ cinnamon bear, Wally a beaver, Bullwinkle the moose and, Alfred the fisher, Toby the red fox, Buck a deer head, a bear skin rug, Sparky the Lynx, a wolf skin, two birds, several fish from the Pond and Rocky the raccoon who watches over the Pond. Just added in 2015 is Arthur the Opossum, Wiley the Coyote, and Paws a blond rare racoon. The animals are quiet and don't beg for food like our canine visitors! Email us for additional photographs of NONAME.
. Most of the surrounding lake property is "Forever Wild" and protected by New York State. Osgood Pond is secluded with little motorboat traffic. A new Lean To was just constructed by the lake. Great for summer sleeping,
There is no water skiing or jet skiing allowed. 5 HP motors are the maximum permitted on the lake. Days go by where you see only a few kayakers or a fishing canoe. More loons than humans! The Adirondack Visitors Interpretive Center at Paul Smiths (VIC) is just two miles away. Explore its endless nature trails. Enjoy forest mountain biking along The Red Dot and Jack Rabbit trails a hundred yards from the house. The sunsets are unsurpassed.
The water is sparkling clean and warm. Swim out to the floating dock and dive back into the bliss. Or lounge on the dock, in the lean to or beach area as you watch your children or grandchildren from just a few feet away. Get in one of five kayaks, canoe or rowboat and paddle for miles around the Pond or along the Osgood or Jones Rivers as you spy bald eagles soar overhead, turtles bask on logs, and loons popping up beside you. Glide past (or over) beaver dams, spot otters playing along the shoreline, and Great Blue Heron diving for fish. Follow a kingfisher down the river. Fish right off dock or all-around Osgood Pond. Fall in the Adirondacks is spectacular with cool days and gorgeous orange, red, and yellow leaves. Winter offers cross country skiing and snowshoeing right out the door. This is paradise at any time of year!
Magnificent Lean-to built completed in 2021 feet from shoreline overlooks the pond and its sleeps several in rustic setting.

COMMENTS FROM 2011 RENTERS: "Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your home for the week. It couldn't have been a more perfect vacation. Every aspect was better than anticipated. Your beautiful home with all its furnishings and great location on Osgood Pond provided us with a wonderful, relaxing Adirondack-experience. The weather was gorgeous all week. My husband and I tried kayaking for the first time ever and loved it. Our guests enjoyed the fishing. I love to cook and was grateful for your well-equipped kitchen. We toured the Olympic sites and drove to the top of Whiteface. I'm glad you encouraged me to bring our bikes: I got my 30 minutes in every day." "We left with some wonderful memories and a wish to return. "The home is really spectacular- enjoyed the peacefulness. "We had a great week at your camp. The house is beautiful and very nicely outfitted." "We are heading home this morning, and we have had a wonderful week. It was a true October week in the Adirondacks with rain and sunshine on and off, with the weather changing by the hour. Your home here is a real gem - beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We hope to return. I finally found the bass in the pond - landing a beautiful largemouth, followed by a very nice smallmouth - both over three pounds. "COMMENTS FROM 2012 RENTERS: We really enjoyed our vacation on Osgood Pond. It is a perfect spot for a family vacation, especially with small children. We had a great week at NONAME, many thanks. Wanted to let you know we'd like to return again next summer, same week (August 3 - 10). Hi Frank. We loved No-Na-Me. The decor is just great. It manages to be light and uplifting while still feeling like the Adirondacks. We enjoyed the dock, the deck, the porch, the hammock.... swam, paddled, hiked in the VIC. Launched our kayaks at the state launch site and paddled over. You did a great job creating it and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We loved the cabin and Osgood Pond! Thanks again for the great location and accommodations! Very good, we had a great week. We had a great week. The photo is from your dock. Wow, what a beautiful place! And I never use the b word. We are already having a great time. What an awesome time we had. I will write up a review online. Also, I just referred another friend who is looking for a place to take his family next summer. COMMENTS FROM 2014 GUESTS: Hello Frank, the house was great, and we had an excellent vacation. We enjoyed the dock and all the boats very much. Thanks for everything, Scott TCOMMENTS FROM 2015 GUEST: Renter's Review: I have stayed at many rental cabins over the years on Osgood Pond, and this was by far my favorite. There were eight of us (teenage through adults) and we were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with pans/pots/utensils, there are plenty of linens, a good washer/dryer, and the water is potable. There is one canoe and several kayaks and pfds, a couple bikes, etc. The walk down to the private dock is steep but perfectly fine for able bodied people. For some reason Crocks seems to be the best shoes for walking down the wood steps There is a nice size propane grill and a lovely fireplace. It's in a great location for picking up nearby hiking trails as well. Would definitely recommend! Will miss the loons.... Comments from 2016 Guest: Renter's Review: NO NA ME Camp was an excellent place to enjoy the Adirondacks and Osgood Pond. The chalet and furnishings are in good condition and very well equipped. In particular, there was ample cooking utensils, tableware, etc. There were four of us and we had plenty of space. A big factor in our enjoyment was the WIFI which kept all of us on our electronic devices. We particularly enjoyed activities on the lake and there were canoes, kayaks, life vests and an anchored raft. Nearby is the Paul Smith College which has numerous hiking / walking trails through the forest. Location was ideal for us in that it is away from town congestion but Saranac Lake and Lake Placid are easy drives from the camp. In summary, we highly recommend this camp. It met all of our expectations. We have rented two others in the area, and this was the best.

“We just returned from spending an incredible week at this beautiful property which is perfectly situated on a hill overlooking Osgood Pond. The views of the landscape from inside and outside of the house are stunning. The home was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed from the well appointed kitchen to all of the water toys ( kayaks, a canoe, paddle board, and a row boat, and fishing gear.) My favorite spots were the lean to (laying on the sofa with my book) and sitting in the chairs on the fishing dock with my family, watching the beautiful sunsets. Our family ages ranged from 2 and a half to mid sixties. We all enjoyed the vast number of outdoor activities (hiking, biking, cycling, swimming, and fishing) without turning the TV on once. This property is idyllic!”

“My family of 4 spent a week at No-Na-Me and had one of the best weeks we've ever had in the Adirondacks. The location of the camp is ideal for a lot of our favorite activities. There are plenty of nearby hikes, 10 minutes to Donnelly's for ice cream (we went 5 times), and just a short walk down the stairs to the pond for outstanding kayaking. Osgood Pond is an ideal place for kayaking. There are no motor boats and you can explore the Osgood River and Jones Pond connector for a true wilderness experience. Most of the time, we did not see anybody else on the pond. It's also a reasonable drive to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid for shopping and dining (we love Smoke Signals). The house is clean and comfortable with everything you need. You can start the day sitting on the expansive deck looking out over the water. In the evenings, we enjoyed sitting in the lean to by the water listening to the loons. There are a number of eagles on the pond and one can be seen frequently in its nest next to the Jones Pond connector. Also, my son and I enjoyed the bass fishing in the pond which was really excellent. We found a lot of smallmouth bass and few largemouth as well.”

“This is a heavenly spot for an Adirondack vacation. Osgood Pond is a quiet and little-developed gem with lots of wildlife and interesting paddling. The cabin is spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated and maintained. Six of us (4 adults, 2 young children) had plenty of options for relaxing, playing games, cooking, and eating meals--both indoors and out. The sandy beach with its lean-to provided hours and hours of perfect waterfront time for adults and youngsters. And the sunsets--viewed either from the porch or the dock--were spectacular, often accompanied by the calls of loons. There's tons of privacy and very little noise (aside from bird calls). I found myself getting up earlier and earlier, to stretch the days out as much as I could! A perfect vacation.”

“We hated to leave after our stay at Camp NoNaMe. Osgood Pond is a beautiful spot in the Adirondacks and the house the perfect place enjoy it. Cozy, comfortable, well supplied with everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, Adirondack style design, great deck for viewing the sunset and listening to the loons. There is a lovely Adirondack style leanto near the water for a peaceful nap after a swim or when youve had enough sun on the dock. There are quite a few steps down to the water but you never get tired of heading down to swim, paddle or just relax by the Pond. Kayaks and a canoe are available to explore the area by water. The lake is wonderfully quiet and peaceful, no noisy motorboats. The VIC at Paul Smiths and the Red Dot Trails have hiking trails nearby. The owner is great, helpful and quickly responds to questions. We loved it here and hope to return! ”

“We've been coming to the Adirondacks every summer for the past 25 years. This was our second year here and it was just wonderful as our first. Osgood Pond is very peaceful, calm and quiet. Great place to use the kayaks provided with the rental. New lean-to this year offered a wonderful place to sit by the water and read without being in the sun. The home is surrounded by trees and is very private and lovely. Comfortably furnished with a well-stocked kitchen. Beautiful deck with a gorgeous view of the lake. Lots of great easy hiking nearby which was a definite plus for our family. The owner and the caretaker are both quick to respond to any questions you might have. Truly a piece of heaven on earth. ”

“Great place to unwind. House is very well furnished and appointed. Everything was well maintained which is very important to us. Deck is situated for spectacular views of the sunset over Osgood Pond. Great dock and swim platform and plenty of kayak's, a rowboat, etc. for water activities. Beach and bottom around dock is all nice sand instead of the muck that you find in many of the ADK bodies of water. Screened in porch is a great place to sit in the morning having coffee or to read. We hope to rent NONAME again in the fall of 2021.”

“We're very hesitant to write a review of NO-NA-ME because we don't want anyone else to know about it. That said, what a ridiculously fantastic spot. No boat traffic, crystal clear water, great fishing/swimming, loons, bald eagles, gorgeous sun sets. Even the little patch of woods between the house and the lake is magical. There are multiple kayaks, a canoe, a giant inner tube. The fireplace is off the charts great. Rooms very cozy. The cabin has a charming, log cabin, Adirondack feel to it. You can just sit on the deck and stare at the lake through the trees for hours. We discovered a hammock a few days into our stay - an amazing nap spot. The owners are extraordinarily helpful and laid back. You're also very close to the increasingly charming town of Saranac and a great soft ice cream place with a great view and the scene of many a rainbow. We are hoping to return very soon. ”

“This property is absolutely lovely and the location is beautiful! Our family of 5 stayed here very comfortably and had an amazing time. The location is extremely private and serene, with loons calling every evening. It felt like we had our own private lake! The lake is absolutely crystal clean, and warmer than other nearby lakes such as Lake Placid - we could swim the in the lake without a problem in early June - and multiple members of my family enjoyed the challenge of swimming across the lake (about 20 minutes swim) to the other side. There are lots of special places to enjoy on the kayaks that are provided, and the sandy beach made access in and out of the lake very easy. The property sits up on a hill, and then you take the stairs down to the water. This is nice because in the evenings you can sit on the large deck and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets that are directly across the water (or you can enjoy them from the dock). The house is also wonderful -- relatively new and quite well maintained. It was extremely clean when we arrived, and had very comfortable mattresses, bedding, and towels provided. The home is decorated in a very classy and comfortable way, in true adirondack style. We took advantage of the lovely stone fireplace on several of the cooler evenings, and that worked very well (you can easily purchase inexpensive wood at many different "camp wood" stands in the area.) There is a brand new washer and dryer in the basement, which was wonderful! We had a few minor maintenance issues with the house while we were there, and the owner was extremely responsive and took care of them right away. Finally, the area is quite nice -- quieter than the area around Lake Placid, but close enough to both Lake Saranac and the 46er trail heads near Lake Placid that you can get to them quite easily. We also enjoyed the St. Regis Mountain trail nearby, which has a beautiful view at the top. Lastly -- don't miss the wonderful trails at the Paul Smith's College Visitors Interpretive Center -- lots of great walking and running trails in the shade. In sum, I can't think of anything negative to say about this property -- we had an incredible week, filled with natural beauty and comfort! ”

“What a beautiful vacation home! If you are looking for a comfortable, quiet place to vacation in a picturesque setting, No-Na-Me is it. This home is so well thought out so all can enjoy its comfort and beauty. There is plenty of space for all to enjoy the kitchen, large dining table, and living room with beautiful fireplace. Outside is a large deck and a dock to sit and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The pond was full of Pike and Bass for fishing and eating. We enjoyed kayaking the pond and river while watching the bald eagles and enjoying the tranquil beauty around us listening to the loons and owls. We also enjoyed our walk on the red dot trail to Church Pond, the trails at the neighboring Vic, and hiking nearby Baker Mountain. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and we look forward to returning!”

“My immediate family (6 adults and 4 children) were fortunate enough to stay at No Na Me in the summer of 2017. The home was beautiful and the rooms were perfect for all of us. We really appreciated the fact that this house had everything from linens and towels, TV/cable all the way down to salt and pepper (we've stayed in places where there was literally nothing in the kitchen!). The pond is gorgeous! As another reader mentioned, I was a bit unsure of how it would be and let me assure you it was great. The water was warm (end of July-August), the kayaks were used every day. We fished starting at 8am from the dock and even took the row boat out to the floating dock because that's where all the big fish were (so said my kids!). We were fortunate with the weather and were able to relax and enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of the area. We hiked at the VIC, took quick day trips to Mirror Lake/Lake Placid. Drove to the top of Whiteface Mtn and hiked from the castle to the apex with the kids. For those of you looking for space, the driveway and side/back yard area is large enough to enjoy Frisbee/baseball/yard games. Overall, it was a great trip and an excellent place to stay. Thank you for offering your home up for us to rent. -The Bush's-”

“We stayed at No-Na-Me August 2015 and really enjoyed it. This is a very modern home and the pictures on the website are accurate. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, appliances. The house sits high on the shore--it is a long walk (steps) down to a dock and swim platform. We liked this because it made the house even more secluded, but know that you must walk down a number of steps to get to the water. House was "camp clean." NOTE: if you're not a fan of taxidermy, you should know that the house is filled with many furry (stuffed and mounted on wall variety) animal friends, which we consider part of the Adirondack experience. Osgood Pond is excellent for paddling and house is near wonderful hiking trails. Saranac Lake is a good town to get provisions in-- fresh produce at Nori's Market. Rented "kevi" canoes from St. Regis Outfitters for a five-pond paddle/portage. Tons of outdoor activities to do in the area. Enjoyed cocktails every night back at No-Na-Me on the deck as the sun set over Osgood Pond. A very memorable week in the woods!”

“What a fantastic location! This place truly has it all! Beautiful nature with modern ammenities... We had perfect weather all week, and were able to enjoy the splendor of Osgood Pond every day. My husband and I took full advantage of early morning kayak trips, where no one was to be seen, with the exception of a few beautiful loons, while all the kids enjoyed the swimming dock throughout the day. The view was unmatchable. The cabin itself is spacious and clean, with plenty of room to hang out, if the weather were to change. Even so, there is a lovely screened in porch, where one can still feel the presence of nature while being protected from rain and mosquitoes. Though far from the bustle of tourists, we were still close enough to the dining and shopping areas of Saranac and Lake Placid. The owner was very easy to get in touch with through email and responded very quickly to any questions. Our week was perfect! You will undoubtedly have no regrets here.”

“I stayed here in October 2012 with my sons and had a great time. I was completely stunned by the peace, quiet and the beauty of the Adirondack's. The cabin was big, comfortable, well equipped and very private. We had easy access to the lake and only saw one canoe on the lake during our five day stay. There were plenty of kayaks provided along with a canoe. This was the first time I heard a Loon. It doesn't get any better than this. ”

“We had a wonderful week at No-Na-Me! The lake was so peaceful and beautiful all day long. The house itself was well appointed with very comfortable furniture, and beds with nice warm quilts. The stone fireplace was enjoyed each evening by all. Nice and close to wonderful hiking at VIC at Paul Smiths College (we hiked the heron's marsh and black pond trails). Could have used some real canoe paddles for the canoe and a real rowboat, but all else was more than superb! The owner was more than helpful with all our questions. Thanks again for a great place to rest and relax Adirondack style!”
